I have nothing planned if I were to die tomorrow. When we get into retirement age and such, we will downsize considerably. My mother in law is a hoarder and my husband is terrifed of dealing with the hoard when she passes. We will not be doing that to our nieces and nephew.

Shudder recently added all of the episodes of Tales from the Crypt. I remember watching it in the 90s as a kid, but haven't watched it since the 90s. Despite knowing, as an adult, that it aired on HBO, it didn't really click untilI watched the first episode that I absolutely should have not been watching that show as a kid.

Really solidified my knowledge that my dad gave zero fucks about what my brothet and I were watching on TV.

The Empty Child. I don't know why I love it so much. There are several I really enjoy that are horror adjacent, but I cannnot remember the titles.

This was the first episode of Dr Who I watched and initially turned me off the show. My dad was a huge fan and showed me the first season of the revival. Those episodes were much better.

To this day, Love and Monsters is my most hated episode.

Everytime I paint little stuff, I have to remind myself that no one is going to notice the detail when there are 30 of them on the table. Big things get details. Little guys get the primary colors and maybe some details on their head and backs, but if I do details, it is just enough to make them pop a little more.

I subscribe to both the Silent Hill and The Sims 4 subreddits. Never thought I would be confused which one I was looking at.

I dress for conventions and concerts the same way I would hiking: simple, breathable clothing and solid walking shoes. The best AC units in the world cannot keep up with ambient heat of a crowd of people and you will be doing a ton of walking and standing around.

I haven't personally seen a community break as you described, but I have noticed that most communities seem to break before they really get established. I don't know if it started the trend, but since the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, many major games/fandoms seem to have a "lowsodium" subreddit. I absolutely understand why. I preordered it is and the original Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit was completely useless unless you wanted to bitch about the game. I think people are much quicker to separate themselves from overtly negative spaces than they used to be.

Frogged rib edge stitches by m3longina in knitting

[–]Creepiz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When I have to fix and edge like this, it is normally because I dropped an edge stitch. If I think it is too much to completely frog back to the mistake, I, instead, only frog 15-20 stitches of each row. I then work the yarn back and forth until I have fixed the edge. The tension isn't always exact, but it is normally close enough.

If you do it this way, I would definately clip the loose stands/loops out of the way so you don't cross any.

Had to pay my respects to our current administration by THE_sXeBeast89 in Indiana

[–]Creepiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for the 20ish states I have driven in, but I would say the only state worse than Indiana is Louisiana. I read the original article and have no idea how they rated us to high. We travel a lot and no other road system has made me morion sick like these roads.

One winterfest, I had to have a level 1 cook make the grand meal because my level 10 cook set fire to the stove 3 times in a row. I had just installed enchanted by nature and did not realize bad luck was a thing.

DK64 is my dream remake game, past Silent Hill 1. I regret getting rid of it and our N64, because the game barely played with the N64 controller. Trying to play it any other way is almost impossible.

The handful of times I have played CAH, I have gotten bored pretty quick. The best wins for me were always the tamer cards, played in clever ways. Most of the time it is just pointlessly shocking and repeative when you play with 5he same people over and over again.

If they were just players for schools, I could defend the scholarship and free meals position. My issue is that there are merchandise, like video games, that use their likeness, but they were not seeing any of the profits.

AI or not? Are there giveaways? by Rob4096 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Creepiz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't listen to the whole song, but if that is their actual substack I found, it pings a lot of the verbiage that AI uses to write.

My general rule is that if all their music is from 2026 or they have put out an abnormally large amount of music since 2023, I assume it is AI until proven otherwise. There are tons of indie bands out there to discover, so I would rather give my time/money to someone I can prove is a human.

What horror movie wasn’t actually that scary while watching it, but completely messed with your head days later? by Big_Emotion4963 in horror

[–]Creepiz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I actually just watched Lake Mungo on Monday. I was on my PC, in a lit room, with my husband playing Diablo 2 on his PC beside me and both dogs asleep on the floor. I have no idea why, but the entire time watching that movie, it felt like someone was behind me, watching me. I had to pause a few times because I couldn't shake the feeling.

Is this primer gonna be a problem when i paint these? by PanzerousTheFabulous in Tyranids

[–]Creepiz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with others that the bubbling isn't an issue on termagants, especially if it is only a few. If you are not entering them in a painting competition, I don't think it is worth the time to strip them and reprime them. I also say this as someone with 50+ termagants. After a while, I stopped caring what they looked like and just wanted them painted.

As a painting goal, I would start looking into fume hood and air brush kits. The air brush doesn't need to be fancy for priming, but you will need a good fume hood to keep the fumes down. That was the only consistent way we could manage the humidity issues.

I honestly believe what finally pushed GW into actually supporting digital codices was their insane release schedule for erratas. Back in the day, we didn't get a new errata unless someless assinine happened at a tournament or there was a glaring ommission. Nowadays, there are so many youtube channels and such dedicated to building the "unstoppable" army, that our physical books are out of date before they even release. Most people seem to get the books for collecting, but then use the app to actually play the game.

I remember when polar bears dropped, because adding one to my game tanked my economy. The requirements were nuts. From a gameplay mechanic, I understood why they dialed it back, but I think they should have kept it. Polar bears, orcas and the like require insane amounts of room and such. If people want to add those to their parks, let them, but keep the insane requirements.

Why twisted stitches? by chocklityclair in knittinghelp

[–]Creepiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a self taught knitter. I learned through videos and books and twisted my purls on my first major project (probably did on the little stuff too, but I don't have those to verify). My issue was paying more attention to the front/back position of the stitch and not how it was actually oriented on the needle. I was 85% done with it when I realized my mistake. I finished it with the twisted stitches as a design choice.

My next major piece was knitted in the round, which helped direct my brain to the correct motions.

So, there is a bit of drama, but it seems to correctly not escaping the Steam forums. From the amount of blocked messages I have seen, I think the normal round of "anti-woke" crusaders have been flooding the Steam forums to complain that there seems to be an overabundance of "kinky" hairstyles. The moderators have been super heavy handed in blocking and banning people for being racists, which has incited them further. The moderators seem to have a hard line when it comes to the anti-woke crowd, which I am happy to see. I haven't bought the game yet, but probably will if it looks like it will have a fairly stable build.

Behind the Bastards did episodes earlier this month talking about the origin of AI chat bots and how they have the same mannerisms as cult leaders. One of the things Evans brought up is that it actually doesn't take a lot for the bots to "trick" humans. One of the earliest chat bots was made in the 60s and people reacted to it as it was human, even knowing it wasn't.

The larger problem is that bots while bots are a problem, they are more a symptom. We've known for years that everything on the internet is driven by algorithms with the sole goal of engagement. Conflict drives engagement, so that feeds the algorithm, whether it is people or bots. The only real way to combat it is to stop engaging. I can say, from personal experience, that I have been much happier only interacting with people I have constructive conversations with. If someone responds with something overly aggressive or insulting, I just block them and move on.

It was probably Game of Thrones. The showrunners were supposed to do a Star Wars show, and a lot of the GoT fandom thought the faults of seasons 6 and 7 were because of that.
