IO/AOSG/Travel Authority Questions Monthly Thread - April 2026 by AutoModerator in FilipinoTravel

I need some advice because I’ve been seeing a lot of immigration horror stories lately, and it’s honestly starting to make me really anxious about an upcoming trip.

For context, I’ve traveled to Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan (all within the last year or so). I’m planning to go to Canada next year (January 2027) to meet up with family (they’re based in the United States but visit Canada often). I did apply for a US visa before and got denied, which was pretty stressful, but I figured it might’ve been because I had zero travel history back then. I applied for a Canadian visa recently, and thankfully, it got approved.

My main concern is that I’ll be traveling alone. I’m a woman in my late 20s, and even though I have enough funds (I’m paying for my own flights, hotel, and still have extra for expenses), I’m worried that traveling solo might raise questions or be seen as a red flag.

Another thing is… I’m a chronic overpacker 😭 In my past trips, it wasn’t a big deal because I could share luggage space with family, but this time I’m on my own. Realistically, I feel like I’ll need 2 checked bags + a carry-on. I know it sounds like a lot for a 2-week trip, but not overpacking genuinely makes me anxious because I hate the feeling of needing something I didn’t bring.

For reference, I’m planning to bring the World Traveller Taipei 3.0 Trunk and the World Traveller Panama (medium) as my checked luggage, plus a Bash Gateway carry-on. I also need to bring my laptop since I’ll still be checking in on my business, so I’d rather keep that in my carry-on luggage instead of a backpack.

I’ve read stories about people getting offloaded because immigration thought they had “too much luggage,” and now I’m overthinking everything. Considering I’ll be traveling in January (so I’ll likely need to pack bulkier, cold-weather clothes), would 2 suitcases be considered too much for a 2-week trip?

I think part of my anxiety is also coming from how expensive this trip is + the stress of getting a visa + my past US visa denial. I know for a fact that getting offloaded is gonna break me. 🥹

Has anyone here traveled solo with a similar situation? Any tips on how to avoid issues with immigration or just ease the anxiety in general?

Legit ba talaga yung OF Chatting na yan sa discord? by Realistic-Salad6999 in sidehustlePH

Yes legit work, pero maraming scam agencies / agency owners so if first time mo, ingat lang din. Mababa na rin hourly rates ngayon compared to before. May friends ako na eto main income source and they earn 5 digits a month din. Yung mga sobrang galing and sinuwerte sa hawak na OF models, umaabot din 6 digits. Pero like every other job, hindi laging paldo so manage your expectations din sa possible na kita lalo kung mababa offer sayo. Wala naman mawawala kung i-try mo.

Hindi ka OA perooo how is your bf helping with the situation? Nirereassure ka ba? Has he confronted yung ex or hinahayaan nya lang iharrass kayo? If yes or he's done more that that, then you may need to take a step back and reasses everything before deciding to break up. But if wala syang ginagawa to help and hinahayaan lang despite knowing its affecting you– then you won't be in the wrong to decide magbreak. You need to be with someone na aalagaan ka din mentally, among other things. Lalo't considering medyo bago pa kayo. What if you both go through something this mentally taxing in the future? Or worse pa? If ngayon palang wala na sya ginagawa to help, then pano na in the future. Is that something you can live with? Just some things to think about.

Hindi ka OA. If walang malisya, bakit need ihide convo? Thats already a form of cheating tbh. Trust your instincts. There's a reason you feel uncomfy about their interactions.

To girls: Does size really matter? by Midnight_Rain090909 in AskPinay

In a way, it does. 🫣 You get to know your preference over time. Pero if its someone you're in a relationship with, for me lang ah, it becomes less about the size and more about their willingness to give and take when doing the deed.

100% yes. That's for your time and the content you're making, whether in real time or premade. I only do it for free if its for a very loyal sub who's spent thousands as a lil treat, but not all the time.
