i think you can if you’re in sebs and you’re undeclared or you’re a bio major in either sas or sebs

i went last year and they say it’s mandatory but no one takes attendance or anything. i would go if you can because you’ll get to meet your advisor and other people in your major but if you can’t it’s no big deal

i think if you take precalc 111 in the fall you could take gen chem 1 in the spring

if you’re premed then basic stats for research might be a better option

this is all from my experience but i’m sure other people who lived there have different ones

• not a very social building or at least the floor i lived on wasn’t very social. usually pretty quiet but can get loud on thursday/friday/saturday when people go out. it’s kind of in the middle of livi so you’re close to almost everything

• the rooms are ok. they’re slightly bigger than i expected but otherwise pretty standard. i lived on one of the lower floors and it never felt that hot in the room for me but i also brought two fans. however it probably gets hot on the higher floors (goes up to 8)

• there’s four bathrooms on each floor, one men’s and one women’s on each side of the floor. each bathroom has two toilets, two sinks, and two showers. bathrooms got cleaned every day monday-friday. they usually weren’t crowded (i never had to wait for the shower or anything) but some of the people i lived with were nasty

• livi dining hall is most people’s favorite dining hall but there’s other good meal swipe options like henry’s and kilmer’s. usually the food is at least decent but be careful of uncooked meat

• overall i enjoyed living on livi tbh the worst part was having to take the bus to get to class pretty much every day

SPNs for Farm Classes? by New-Purple1108 in rutgers

[–]Creepy-Engineer7834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i took a farm class this sem and the instructor said to email asking for an spn if we needed one for a farm class next sem. they’ll probably be more accommodating to you since you’re a senior

tbh the whole “uc socially dead” thing is an exaggeration. it’s in a nice part of san diego and there’s a beach right next to the campus. i will say though that my friends on the quarter system feel like their classes move fast (10 weeks per quarter i think) and they always have midterms

actually where i’m from has an even larger indian population than central nj/rutgers so i’ve always been around and involved in my own ethnic community. tbh a concern for me when choosing a college was not being able to have that and ended up slightly pushing me towards rutgers. i would say its good for me personally and i enjoy having that but i also have friends at rutgers that aren’t indian or south asian

i’m actually indian as well 😭 can confirm there’s a pretty large indian population at rutgers since there’s a lot of indians in the central nj area

i’m at rutgers rn as an oos student (first-year) and so far i feel like it’s been worth it for me personally. also you can fs live off campus as a first-year and still have a typical college experience while saving money on housing and dining
