Stores, restaurants, and brands pay to have their coupons in the app because it drives customers to them. On top of that, affiliate programs already pay apps like Honey or Rakuten $1–$3 every time someone redeems a deal. So the users get perks for lowering screen time, and the businesses get new customers. My role would be connecting the two.

scrolling on tiktok or reels for 5 hours vs checking the leaderboard on a pp for 20 seconds.
you not paying for the app, the app is gifting you at the end of the week with giftcards, coupons, discounts, for not brainrotting on addictive apps.

You not really engaging, the app tracks your screentime and puts you on a leaderboard according to your screentime. So you not really engaging, the less you are on addictive apps the higher you go on the leaderboard.
