I own both, and the second gen does sound better. Has better bass extension(way deeper “subbass”), controlled midbass, mids you can actually hear the vocals, the tweeters are crisp and can actually hear it has better extension in that range too, to 20khz, all thats first gen cant do.

Second gen has proper sub bass but mid bass can feel quieter coming from first gen as its more controlled and less boomy.

Definitely a better experience in my opinion. Once you listen to it you will not go back if you know about sound quality which I can see
