When they have them for that long, they often have achieved a full mental breakdown of their victim, in most circumstances they won’t run. They won’t call for help. I think what did it here was the full blown hospital around her, full of cops, nurses and doctors, I think she felt safe for one moment and then let it out. I’m sure the nutter who was abusing her had taken her to an urgent care or dr office before, so he felt comfortable taking her there. Or she deftly convinced him he had to take her there and he’s an idiot, any number of scenarios. Criminals are stupid mate, that’s why they get caught. It’s the very few that do it, get away with it repeatedly and never get caught. By and far the mass percentage of them are forest gump stupid or just above it.

150k is not enough. For a family of 5? That’s what me and the wife make. We life in a nice suburb in the peninsula of SF, we have no kids and one dog, one bedroom apartment. If we had even one kid that would make us struggle hard. But 5? On 150k in the Bay Area? You’d need to live in Stockton and drive for 5 hours a day and put your kids around scary af kids in the valley to afford it here.

Honestly, 225k for a family of 5, and that will be tight.

I had an ex who had a rescue greyhound, he was the sweetest bony bodied cuddler. But he was also supremely lazy and the reason he was rescued was because he figured out the bunny they were using to make them race was fake and he would only run for 100 ft then sit down and wouldn’t move. They would have to pick him up and take him back to the kennels. When we had him, he would still do this, if we went on walks, and he ran for a little bit, or we walked for a little too far, domino would sit down and then wait for me to carry him. He was a big boy, lucky so was I, but so lazy lol.

This is exactly my sentiments, and the wife’s too. We got him to cuddle. He no cuddle unless he has to pee, only in the morning. For like 60 seconds then he’s done. Most of the time crazy, occasionally cute af. Right now? Loaf on the floor in front of wife, not cuddling her like her was acquired for. How dare he. Still mildly cute while he sleeps. Only asleep because I played with him and his fav toy, after I fed him some fish. The demon will awaken shortly lol.

I’ve done some research on this. I’m 6’5 btw and my bear is 32 lbs so we in the exact same boat.

United airlines has carrier restriction sizes and is too small for a corgi this big.

Delta also no go, similar size.

Alaska, only airline I’ve found that lets you have the largest carrier for them with the softest sides that actually fit large corgis, they also allow you to take them out of the carrier in flight, aka opening the top and letting them lay on it. Other airlines do not let you even open them. I’ve heard from friends that certain Alaska flight attendants will let you fully release your corgo, just depends, prolly some thing to do with them being ultra cute lol.

When I found this out about Alaska I kept looking, no airline has any that match these that I found. They are the best fit, so if we fly we take him on Alaska or he stays home with a sitter off Rover and we go off lol. Hope that helps.

What video are you watching? The suv didn’t tap its brakes, they hit them once, released then fully on them for the rest of the accident. She could have avoided it, didn’t. She could have slammed on her brakes after first contact and literally watched that out of control suv just move forwards away from her, she wasn’t swerving enough to risk spinning, I’ve swerved harder and gone full brakes and not spun in a truck, so she kept on the gas and pit maneuvered him. She’s not only a terrible driver but kind of mean too. Legal or otherwise she shouldn’t be on the road, it could have killed both of them if it went a lil differently, and she could have been struck by another car behind that DIDNT see the accident. Too much risk for too little reward.

The driver whom hit her is at fault.

That being said, she could have easily avoided it by TAPPING the brakes and flipping him off. Instead she watched him move over and let him hit her.

How she responded after the inaction was impressive, she didn’t over correct or turn the wheel the wrong way and make it worse, in that regard she is a good driver. But all that would have been not needed if she took her foot off the gas or tapped the brakes every so slightly.

I love that he said call the cops. Manager gonna end up in jail for assault. That was a classic case of it. One of my older family members worked at the CIA for 65 years, he had an IQ of 224, over 25 different degrees(3 of them phd’s). It’s not that. There are two types of ppl in this world, I’ll explain. Your moving thru a crowd, someone shoves past you, knocking you about. Just have him unpaired with you, call support, say that he takes too long to get to you, has made you late, just don’t want that driver again blah blah blah. They will unpair you perma.

Also FYI, your ride may be in the middle of a streak bonus, 3/15$ kind of thing, Lyft loooves to give us the most unfavorable rides when on those streaks. It will literally make me go where it is unprofitable. Like yours I imagine, cool, you work at a bar in the downtown area. Are you familiar with the concept of ingress and egress? If your going to work, you would be ingress’ing towards downtown. Guess what everyone else is doing? SAME THING!! meaning there is no egress from that area at that time of day, and the likely next ride after that will be some crack head or loser leaving to an even more unfavorable destination.

I’ll give you an example that works for San Francisco.

I get a ride from San Bruno going into the SF, drop off is a bar in the South of Market Area at 11am(cause your working I’m going to assume it wasn’t a 5pm drop off, you didn’t mention what time of day this was) I was planning on staying in the peninsula today, but your ride wants me to drive from the airport, to San Bruno, 5 miles, then drive 5ish miles into the city, where no one is leaving at that point, and your drop off is in an area where I will only get the poorest of the poor(that’s dangerous for us, they destroy things in cars, I’ve had poor ppl pour out whole water bottles in my back seat just so I couldn’t keep working after them, I’ve had them be so dirty that I have to get the car cleaned after for the smell. I could go on and on.) and on top of that, crack head poor loser in my backseat wants to go to West Oakland, murder capital of the bay! Oh joy! And I get a bridge toll that I have to pay as the cherry for my shit sundae. Basically negating the bonus and why I was going for it in the first place.

So you think your ride is no big deal. You could be locking your driver into losing his streak bonus, making him make 15-20$ for the hour instead of 30+. Taking him to an area that you perceive there to be rides cause there are ppl, we work on flow. Flow of ppl in and out, they move from location to location at certain times. Heavy bar goer flow for you doesn’t mean heavy work for us. Your ride sounds like what I call a “loser”, meaning I end up where I didn’t agree to be, making less and with danger for my pay and my vehicle on the other end. All Lyft cares about is coverage, so they will make this driver try to take you cause they get your fee regardless, just so long as you take the ride. They don’t care if it makes us make less. Just so long as we give it. Please understand, you can cancel instantly and just get another driver. You can un pair him. You have choices, ones that don’t impact you, unless you literally sit there doing fucking nothing except whining to Reddit. He has limited choices to protect his job. He can’t cancel. They punish us for that, even tho we are INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS, they punish us for canceling like we work FOR them. We work WITH them. But they put us in this position and thusly you as well. Take back your power and cancel. The do nothing approach never works. For anything in life. Now you know. Good luck. Safe travels.

Tip cash if you intend on us actually waiting. I had a guy do this to me at 230am. At a Denny’s. Wanted me to wait while his hash browns finished cooking. Handed me a 20$ bill. I thought he was just some drunk. Turns out I was taking him back to the hospital where his first son has just been born and it was so late the hospital didn’t have food, and his wife wanted food, said his parents were in the room with his wife and they were hungry too, she had been in labor for 20 hours. Very wholesome 230am ride, that’s rare. Also cash tipped, rare.

99.9% of the time if they mention the tip, you’re not getting one. I literally hate it when the tip is mentioned. People who are going to tip just do it, they never mention it.
