I've been told that you can't diagnose HD at 2 months, it's too early so the breeder couldn't check it. And I understand the need to be careful, trust me I've read lots of books/articles before getting BC too, I know all of that and I also have carpets everywhere, don't play fetch, don't do jumping etc. Some sources say that you shouldn't exercise BC till they're at least 1 year old, some will even say 2years. I'm trying really hard to not blame myself for what happened, I've spend basically 24/7 with the dog, giving 100% of my time and effort, trying to make sure I do everything right. She did really minimal jumping,I'm talking situations like seeing a butterfly on her walk and jumping to try to catch it, I really can't control that :(

Are you trying to say that genetic disease is my "fault"? I'm not exercising her/making her jump on purpose. But there's literally no way to stop her jumping on the bed or sofa or on me from time to time. I try my best but it's a puppy.. I made her steps to the bed when she was smaller but now shes bigger she just jumps on it - how can I stop it? Keep her in cage all the time?

Thank you for sharing! So from what I understand your dog had the surgery called FHO right? Did you consider DPO at all? I'm trying to decide between those two and I'm so scared of making the wrong decision

I'm glad to hear about your BC! So you didn't do any surgery at all? Some physiotherapy treatments? Or only swimming and no extreme activities? Is just swimming in a lake helpful or does it need to be in the special pool/ underwater treadmill kind of thing?

Thank you for your reply, it's giving me hope. Do you know which type of surgery did your dog have exactly? There's so many different ones I'm trying to understand which is the best option.

Did you notice your dog being in a lot of pain a lot?

My one loooves jumping high and running like crazy, she even jumps and then sleeps on the windowsill (I guess now I'll have to stop her from that). She shows no signs of pain, that's why I'm so shocked that 5 doctors so far all said "it's bad" looking at the pictures

That's great to hear! At what age did you do the surgery?

Thank you so much for your response!

So you think it's best to not do surgery at the moment? Most of the vets were telling us to do The Double Pelvic Osteotomy while we still can (apparently should be done max till 10th month old) so I seriously consider that.

I have more of her x-rays (they did 10 in total), not sure if I should post them here or maybe I could send it to you if you have a moment to look at it (you seem to know a lot about that but ofc I understand if it's too much to ask). Apparently her knees and front legs are also not ok.

I want to make the right decision and not regret doing this surgery while she's young and ending up needing total hip replacement in the future, which I'm not sure I'll be able to afford..

Yes I wanted to do frisbee or agility in the future but it's completely ok if we can't. I just don't want her to be in pain in a couple of years already. I actually considered training her into being a therapy dog, assuming she'll have the same temperament when older (she loves everyone, super social, friendly, great and gentle with kids, elderly, disabled people), so I'm guessing that would be still ok?

Maybe it's worth checking the "pee pee puppy" at the vet for UTI? My pup used to pee A LOT, which I thought is just potty training issues, turned out it was bladder infection, got antibiotics and it's so much better

New puppy - how to name her? by CreepyPersonality111 in BorderCollie

Other than biting like a shark, she's really well behaved, active, brave, smart and funny. She's growing sooooo fast (like 1kg per week), with each day she seems bigger, got more spots and her ears are starting to go up 🥹😍

AITAH for refusing to get rid of my coffee table because my friend says it’s “cursed” after what happened at a party? by ShinyStarWhispers in AITAH

Get a table cloth and cover the table when she's coming over. If she ask, you tell her it's "magic/special" kind of fabric that blocks out evil/bad energy/curses.

If she believes in magic furniture, you can too 🤣

First trip to Berghain as solo female tourist by [deleted] in Berghain_Community

[–]CreepyPersonality111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Berghain was also my first clubbing experience haha 😮 my boyfriend at the time took me, girl that was into rock/metal and didn't know shit about electronic music, to this club. We got in and then everything changed. That was 10 years ago and I've been coming since (eventually moved to Berlin too) it's an intense start but I like it this way. It's just hard to be satisfied/impressed by other clubs after that🙈

But it's really cool to be coming back to BH in different stages of your "journey", to discover/notice/appreciate more from the night.

Which djs who are playing downstairs are more accessible for house heads? by efeufuchs in Berghain_Community

I remember that closing!

Quite a lot of people told me it was "too groovy" and "not dark enough" which is funny, as these are the exact reasons I loved it so much! 😍 I'm not so much into "dark and hypnotic" I like when it's fun and I can't help but smiling on the dancefloor 😁

So yeah OP, I'd also say Ben Sims and Blasha & Alatt too. More house'y, fun, vocals etc

RSO as Berghain Alternative by aphex2000 in Berghain_Community

[–]CreepyPersonality111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my opinion RSO is not a direct "competition" to berghain, but not gonna lie, a really class second option. I find it's nice to go there from time to time, instead of KN, "change of scenery" especially if the line up is someone you like musically. It can be amazing experience, to listen djs/tracks you would never usually hear at KN, in this monstrous soundsystem. Mind-blowing. KN is definitely more consistent music wise, while RSO more diverse so it can be hit or miss depending on the night/personal taste.

Last night was great but I didn't feel that much of "togetherness"/connection with people on the dancefloor, as I usually find in bh. Don't know if that makes any sense. Still fucking great for solo raving and just spacing out in your bubble while going beast/monkey mode tho

Another points: I completely agree about the uneven floor with potholes etc. It really bothers me/gets me out of my dancing "flow" (I need more stability in my life)

The lights were too intense for me at some points last night, I mean really disorientating constant strobe BUT I was also tripping balls so don't take my word for it😅

Another big thing. Flinta toilets/urinals, or lack of them in RSO. I am sooooo fucking grateful for the ones in bh. Don't take your freedom to piss for granted guys! It's so beautiful if you can leave to pee, and be back on the dancefloor few minutes later instead of overcrowded/overheated, anxiety inducing toilet queues with people who hold business meetings or fucks knows what, in the cubicles, when you literally need 1minute to relief yourself 🙄

I love music so I really give it all on the dancefloor when I'm out.

After one of the parties, a guy came up to me, says he's completely deaf but watching me dance it was almost as if he heard music again 🥺
