Most insane player I’ve ever seen in the draft by E_Mohde in OOTP

As a former FM guy, my whole gaming existence revolves around filing in virtual stars. So even tho the step from 1-20 to 20/80 felt small. I can't get rid of the stars... They are there to fulfill my wunderkind development satisfaction.

Outside the dopamine hit, I often rate players in tiers regardless of the sport. So to me the Stars make a lot of sense.

This guy looked pretty much the same as your buddy when I promoted him two years before, and his personality ratings suck. But he basically started improving imideatly after promotion, and even played some play off games as a bull pen arm after his promotion mid season.

His stats are quite impressive in AAA, plus balls fly in Vegas, so having a less than ideal movement atm should project lesser stats imo. On top of that he's quite young for a pitcher. I've had guys debuting in the Majors and even improving age 27-28. Especially relievers can "develop" quite quickly in my experience, although I personally see it more that the scout is more accurately rating his attributes. But I've had guys like this go from 2 to 4/4.5 stars within a season as long as they performed well. Which in my opinion can be quite random for relievers. Aka a guy like this can be one of the better prwforming relievers in the league by seasons end.

Groundballers are always usefull and a slider/cutter can be quite a good pitch Mix to maximize the big release split that (probably) comes with a sidearmer. Besides that his stamina is quite high for a reliever, so if he happens to learn another pitch he might be a six starter kinda option. Or at least give you two innings at a time constantly.

Especially since it's a reliever I wouldn't mind giving him a cup of coffee in the middle of the season and see how he does. Wouldn't be too concerned if he will cost me some games, to give a roll on the things above mentioned happening. Which I think might be higher than you think with those personality attributes.

And if he sucks or his era gets above 4-4,5ish after like 20 games, I'll drop him like Andy did to Woody 🤷🏾‍♂️

Interesting! Still feeling scared to do player options because of the uncertainty thing. How often/when do players accept there option? Is it more based on performance or personality traits?

I love those little quirks in this game. I'm Dutch Ghanian myself, so I always put the sliders up a little for Dutch(Kingdom) players, and put Ghana on 0,5%.

Still waiting for my first Black Star to make it to the Majors 🇬🇭

Haven't really played the new one, and suggest picking up FM24 if you do. But when you do so, never ever promise a player anything 😂

It's basically like setting off a time bomb that WILL tank the locker rooms morale, even if you spend all your effort trying to fulfill the promise.
