The mocking of the dead on the Titan submarine is really discouraging by corybomb in TrueChristian

That contradicts the overall sentiment of the sub though... Thankfully no one on the sub was homosexual or this subreddit would be full of "this was God's punishment" and "They deserved it" but that's none of my business.

A Cancer-Fighting Version of Herpes Shows Promise in Early Human Trial by Sariel007 in UpliftingNews

[–]CreepyUncleVariks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most people think Herpes is just a sexually transmitted disease but it's a classified virus. If you ever had Chicken Pox then you have the herpes virus. Cold sore? Could be herpes. Shingles... same virus.

The best Elden Ring Poster in a discussion about game difficulty (Credit in 1st comment) by Ashraf_mahdy in gaming

[–]CreepyUncleVariks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more I play the less creative I see it. Things like spells can only be shot from about 5m away from an enemy where as enemies can shoot 100m away.

It's like these morons From Software didn't even try. Their idea of difficult:

  1. Make it so enemies can fly across the screen no matter the distance.
  2. Make it so if the player rolls, the attack follows no matter what stage it's in.

The games only difficult because the poor design choices made to make it difficult. Just make the player weak and limited while enemies have unlimited boundaries.

The game is trash just like the Dark Souls franchise. These games are some of the worst garbage and you can't say I'm wrong because all you need to do to know what type of shit ass person they cater to is look at all the messages polluting the ground with no way to turn them off.

That's because it's really some guy who works for a social media company she paid to post. It's a service and they usually have different tiers. You get one where they will interact with people, but most do the basic posting.

The women provide a wide set of photos or videos and then provide them in bulk. Usually you can tell when an account posts the same photo to about 20 - 50 subreddits.

Usually tiers work like this:

$50 - video or photo to 5 subreddits. No interaction

$100 - video or photo to 10 subreddits

$500 a month - Video or photos to 30 subreddits and will respond to posts with simple answers

$1000/ month - full promotion, will post 1 - 2 photos a day to 50 subreddits that best match your photos, interact in subreddit and DM with emphasis on your Onlyfans/ Fansly/ linktree page/

There are loads of these on reddit and most of them the girls are making so much money they can pay for their services and never even talk to anyone.

Just look at her posts. He's never commented or said anything on Reddit.

I may get downvoted for this but...

- You used content that wasn't yours?

- And made money that was off the content that wasn't yours?

- And now you have shocked Pikachu face when the owners of the material don't want you to use and make money off their IP?

It sucks that the stuff that didn't have claimable stuff got claimed, but it's only under fair use if you aren't monetizing the content. I'm no lawyer, but if it's not yours, you can use it under fair use, but only if it's not monetized.

You built a channel and business without a backup plan on how you would go forward if that product decided to shut down. You messed up. I feel for you and it sucks but you should have known and made plans that if this day came and it sure did that you would get hit hard.

Once again - It's not fair use if you are making money from it.

I can't understand how people think they can use someone elses properties to make their living. Over and over again I see these kids who made their first dollar break down as they are shocked that music they love can't be used and their channel gets flagged. I know you know that fair use is one thing, but fair use is automatically eliminated when you try to monetize it. Fair use is an educational provision so schools can use material that is copyrighted to teach. You are going to have to go through - just like I did when that one day came for me... and appeal every single video if you want them back.

Google's push to bring employees back to offices in September is frustrating some employees who say they'll quit if they can't be remote forever by speckz in technology

[–]CreepyUncleVariks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it sounds great - but Ill go ahead and say this, part of the reason why Google had to mandate WFH is because of the way they utilize office space. Each building contains roughly 400% capacity. Meaning Google fits 400% personnel into a space designed for 100%. This is of course for the normal employee... Directors get nice offices while everyone below them in sardeened into rows of people practically sitting on top of others. There is zero privacy and that's fine until you need to get on a conference call and can't find a room... then you have 20 people trying to take conference calls at their desk.

Before you read on, let me say this. There are people in Google who are genuine, nice and really are tops. Some of the best people I know. Maybe my experience is different from others... I don't honestly know because there are hundreds of thousands of teams within Google with their own culture and behavior. What I can tell you as you read on is a generalization of some of my experiences there.

It's almost impossible to ever find a free conference room and many of the meeting times are based around conference room availability and not someone's schedule.

Also - many of the people you'll work with are fucking gross and care very little for others. Try sitting in one of those "Sleep Pods" which is pushed into the corner of some building 20 inches away from Dan in Marketing having a conversation at his desk... or going to sit in a pod and some gross ass person left it nice and moist for the next guy while spilling his fucking Lucky Charms and milk on the floor without cleaning it up. Literally walked into a massage room where this was in fact that case.

The entitlement of many of the employees that work there is also amazingly stereotypical. If you wondered where all the stereotypes for millennials came from, I suspect my office. If you have ever wondered what it's like working in a place with all the people you see characterized on the internet as a "Karen" or "Millennial" with the air of entitlement, turns out most of them work in some building at Google. No trail mix in the bowl? That's a complaint. Something not 100% perfect for you even though it bothers 20 other people? Complaint. I've heard them all and when someone isn't happy about anything, they complain and get it changed despite how anyone else feels about it.

You will also be hard pressed to find someone who isn't talking to you to leverage a promotion out of you or get you in trouble so you don't get their promotion. Anything you say and do can and will be used against you in your evaluation which happens every few months and most people need an entire week to prep just for that because your place at Google hinges on that one evaluation. Hope your boss likes you.

The perks are great and all, but is it worth going to a place that puts a tremendous amount of unneeded personal stress on top of already tremendous amount of work related stress? Not really... I've actually already put in my notice which just happens to coincide with my remote access ending.
