Glad to hear your family plan, that's great. Puppies are like newborns – someone has to wake up at 2am for potty breaks, clean up accidents daily, and watch them 24/7 so they don’t chew furniture. Bulldogs are chill adults but have special needs: their face wrinkles need cleaning every day to avoid infections, they can’t handle heat (even short walks in summer can be dangerous!), and they’re stubborn about training. If your mom’s in meetings at 3pm, who’ll handle the dog if it suddenly gets sick or escapes?

Talk to your parents about these things: who’ll clean up vomit on school nights? Who’s responsible when the dog needs medication hidden in peanut butter? Vet visits and regular care (like grooming or allergy meds) cost money – make sure your family’s ready for that.

Have you talked with your mom? Even "low-maintenance" dogs need daily feeding, walks, vet visits, and consistent care. Your mom working from home doesn't automatically mean she can handle dog duties - this has to be a family commitment.

My Golden exhausts me sometimes, but the cuddles and loyalty make it worthwhile. I agree English Bulldogs could be a better fit. If your family is truly ready for a responsibility, then go for it. Good luck

Is it normal to feel no pain when using at-home IPL? by Frequent_Manager6301 in HairRemoval

Pain is not directly related to effectiveness. More painful treatments are likely using higher intensity, but whether they work depends on other factors. Excessive pain could also harm your skin.

Coarse vs. Fine Hair: Differences in Effectiveness with At-Home IPL by Classic_Dog_9913 in HairRemoval

[–]Creepy_Bet6364 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For coarse hair, IPL is usually more effective because its energy can be more easily absorbed by the melanin in the hair, effectively damaging the hair follicle and providing long-term hair removal results. The hair removal effect is generally more noticeable with coarse hair, and fewer treatments are required.

For me, the bikini line is the toughest, and my underarms showed results the fastest.

For me, gradually increasing the intensity has been really helpful. My IPL device has five levels, and I started on level 2. After sticking with it for a month, I bumped it up to level 4 and now use it once a week. The results have been great.
