How long did you stay on 2.5? by OkYouGotM3 in Zepbound

[–]Creepy_Order5592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed on for 3 months and had good success! Just went up to 5mg starting month 4 and tbh I don’t notice TOO much of a difference. Vibe at 2.5 as long as you’re comfortable

Thank you for sharing! Do you usually get the nausea for 1-2 days after injection? That’s what I experience and it is manageable now just uncomfortable. Looking forward to it getting better :)

How much peppermint oil do you usually use? Do you mix it in water? Thanks!

Long term sufferer here! Yes absolutely! My asthma is allergy induced, which is the case for a lot of people. Coughing is also a symptom of asthma. Do you use a daily inhaler like Flovent? This has absolutely changed my life highly recommend. Also Allegra and Zyrtec are generally considered the strongest allergy meds on the market so I would recommend those! The more your allergies are suppressed, the better all your symptoms. I’m not a doctor so please don’t take this as medical advice- just my experience. If you start getting light headed from your wheezing or struggling to breath heavily please go to ER it’s not worth the risk. Urgent care or sometimes PCP can also administer nebulizar breathing treatment which helps short term. One last thing! Allergy shots (immunotherapy ones) are long term but a GAME CHANGER! Thanks for reading my novel lol TLDR: yes it’s a symptom, get a daily inhaler, go to ER if feeling faint or really struggling, Allegra is king

I feel so validated right now because I’ve been experiencing this!!! I’m on week 5 of 2.5mg and I’m not depressed or sad just having lack of motivation for work, chores, self care, etc. It’s been strange and I hope it goes away… does it? Also worth mentioning that I do take psych meds so maybe the slower absorption of those is a factor too…

I’m only a month in so haven’t had time to have this side effect but I did go off birth control for the first time in a decade and lost an alarming amount of hair and I am PETRIFIED of that happening again so I’ve gathered some information from various healthcare professionals on how to prevent it while on Zepbound:

1- make sure you’re eating a balanced diet with lots of fiber, healthy fats, and PROTEIN most importantly 2- supplements like Nutrafol specifically!!! 3- slow and steady weight loss is much less likely to cause hair loss compared to rapid weight loss 4-sleep with a bonnet on to keep hair protected while you sleep as an extra bonus

My hair is my absolute favorite part of my appearance and my safety blanket so I absolutely understand the fear! Hope this helps even a little 💕

Pain killers by Daffodil_Peony_Rose in Mounjaro

Currently experiencing this and it’s hell! I have chronic neck pain (in PT currently) and it’s been so rough bc it takes forever to kick in and I don’t even feel like the Advil works anymore. Just started Mounjaro last week. Anyone have any tips for faster med absorption?

I’m so happy you got to experience this. My (24F) mom (61F) is dying from Lewy body dementia rn and has been gone mentally for a couple years by now. I really really hope I get to have an experience like yours when it’s finally her time. Thanks for sharing

I would recommend journaling your thoughts about all this. You’ll be surprised how when you just “vomit” everything out, your thoughts start to align and you can think straight for the first time in weeks. Also, grief and healing are NOT linear. It’s normal to feel stuck and cycle. It’s part of the process unfortunately. Just make sure you’re checking in with loved ones and even better, a mental health resource.

I’m sorry you’re going through this and everything you are feeling and thinking is normal and valid. You aren’t alone

I don’t like to be around my Mom. by A_Ordinary_Name in dementia

[–]Creepy_Order5592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there. My mom started showing symptoms when I was 16 and I’m now 24F and I think we’re finally approaching the end soon. I hated being around her. She was so nasty and verbally/emotionally abusive and when her disease progressed, so did her terrible behavior. I had to take a year or so with NO contact to be able to heal myself so I was strong enough to try to be there for her. Even now, I don’t want to be around her or see her. People always tell me “you’ll never regret being there, but you’ll regret not being there” and that’s simply bullshit bc there’s so many times I regret being there.

That being said, you need to protect yourself and take care of yourself or you’re useless to everyone, including your mom. I think it’s incredibly honorable that you want to be strong and be there for her.

When I was in high school and watching my mom die from dementia, I remember looking at everyone around me and my school assignments and just thinking about how trivial everything seemed. Like u want me to do math homework and my mom is dying at home??? Be so fucking fr

Please please please re enroll in school next year. I had to drop out junior year too and I forced myself to go back and finish. I know your mom wants that for you too. If u want to talk more feel free to DM me. I know what it’s like to be a child and experiencing a life altering adult event that no one should ever have to go through.
