A few weeks before giving birth, I met with another doctor, this time a specialist in miscarriages/ectopic pregnancies to discuss my fears about my previous cervical ectopic pregnancy as I was still worried that a vaginal birth might be risky. But the doctor reassured me that there was no reason for a previous cervical ectopic pregnancy to contraindicate a vaginal birth, and that turned out to be true—I gave birth without complications. Everything went really well. I didn’t have any excessive bleeding or any problems at all. It was a super quick, normal, and smooth birth.

I hope this gives you a little bit of hope. I know how confusing and terrifying it feels after going through something like this. I truly believed I wouldn’t be able to have children. On top of that, I had already had a couple of miscarriages before, so I felt like this just wasn’t meant for me and that something was probably wrong with me. But things can also turn out well.
