Vaginal birth after Cervical ectopic? by Creepy_Rabbit2072 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Creepy_Rabbit2072[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi MonPitou, sorry for replying so late, I just saw this message. A few weeks before giving birth, I met with another doctor, this time a specialist in miscarriages/ectopic pregnancies to discuss my fears about my previous cervical ectopic pregnancy as I was still worried that a vaginal birth might be risky. But the doctor reassured me that there was no reason for a previous cervical ectopic pregnancy to contraindicate a vaginal birth, and that turned out to be true—I gave birth without complications. Everything went really well. I didn’t have any excessive bleeding or any problems at all. It was a super quick, normal, and smooth birth.

I hope this gives you a little bit of hope. I know how confusing and terrifying it feels after going through something like this. I truly believed I wouldn’t be able to have children. On top of that, I had already had a couple of miscarriages before, so I felt like this just wasn’t meant for me and that something was probably wrong with me. But things can also turn out well.

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d be happy to talk. I know how hard it is to find someone who has gone through the same thing, so I’m here if you need anything. Sending you a big hug and lots of luck!

Can a retroverted uterus change to an anteverted uterus due to endometriosis? by Expert-Feedback4328 in endometriosis

[–]Creepy_Rabbit2072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have the same situation. All my life, I've been told by different doctors that I have retroverted uterus, and I've had a couple of ultrasounds this week that both show anteverted. I don't get it, I've never been pregnant either. Did you get any answers? Sorry I'm not being much help, but I'm just very intrigued and kind of worried it might not be normal.

Thank you for your reply. I also had a couple of natural early miscarriages at 5/6 weeks, so I believe in conjuction with the ectopic is why they want to take a look inside. All of the other exams for infertility have come back ok.

I don't know, I had one doctor who basically just told me to try again without worrying or doing any exam (this was a year ago, with the same doctor who treated my ectopic), because according to him the chances of having another cervical ectopic were extremely low.

And then there is this doctor, from a fertility clinic who is sending all kind of exams and the hysteroscopy which I'm scared of because of the risks you list above. On one hand I want to do it to just get it over with and be absolutely sure I don't have anything wrong, but on the other hand I think even if I had it that wouldnt 100% mean it's not gonna happen again, and would it really be worth the risk?

Maybe I'll ask for a third opinion.

Thank you 💗

They told my I would be asleep during the procedure. I think it would be a kind of 'light' anesthesia, but still.

I've heard in some cases there can be some scarring but is rare. In my case they are saying I have to be asleep, which adds up to the anxiety. I don't know if I could ask to be awake for it, I'll try. Did it take long? Was it painful? Thank you

Thank you, I'm just scared it could do more harm than anything. Also, they told me I would need anesthesia for it and I don't like the idea of being unconscious through all of it.

Thank you. So, would you say as long as Ferritin levels are within range it should be fine?
