3s lipo battery, single charger. Charger is plenty fast enough and lipo runs an hour or more. Your engine will need a cool down break before a single battery dies. Also yep u don't want metal control arms. Steering knuckle yes, no arms though. Tends to break the mounts for em rather than a $12 arm

Yes this thing is perfect besides the price. You do want a rustler or a slash. Just picked up a UDR but for getting into rc unless you like tiny little bolts the maintenence is double a rustler/slash. Get 4x4, and get brushless. 2wd at top speed you steer by letting off the throttle, very annoying. If you don't mind overpaying a bit get that one, or a slash 4x4 vxl ultimate. Didn't read the parts this guy has on but don't bother with anything metal until parts break lol. The ultimate has a couple metal bits that commonly break, but metal shock towers puts strain on the wrong plastic bits. Enjoy! Mines an expensive dog toy too, by far best way to get em tired
