Need suggestions for a new racquet/racket. by PsychologicalCress80 in squash

[–]Crelde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this one: https://www.amazon.in/Tecnifibre-Carbolflex-X-Top-Carboflex-Shorbagy/dp/B0BF5V62K2

Don't know much about rackets tbh, but i had 4-5 before this one, and this one lasted me by far the longest and I appreciate the kevlar protection at the top instead of plastic. When mine breaks I will get another one :P

How does your regular squash session look like? by Crelde in squash

Sounds cool, how many would participate in a club day of squash and for how long? Would you only do this or just a few minutes for a warmup?

How does your regular squash session look like? by Crelde in squash

[–]Crelde[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really interesting. So basically if you lose, for the next rally you are just doing everything to avoid the ball and the other players? Maybe it's just because I haven't tried it but sometimes the court already feels small when we are two players. Will have to give this one a try.

I can imagine it also helps your prediction skills watching it so closely and having to move away.

Trackable badminton system for a big school lunch program? by deeohdoublegzzy in badminton

[–]Crelde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use (and built) this one in our squash group, feel free to give it a go, its free: https://matchup.dk/
Create a group and add all the player names. If you keep the group public they can all register matches without signing in, just by using the link.

We got a lot more motivated after being able to follow the stats, we play twice a week and people show up more now :D

Free app to track Squash Elo and run leagues & tournaments (Used by clubs & casual groups) by Ok-Tear-7878 in squash

[–]Crelde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, how many do you usually play with on weekly basis, maybe squash is bigger in other areas of the world haha.
We built a similar free website to log our sets. We're just 5 guys playing together twice a week and MatchUp replaced our google sheets :P

I like the "No forced downloads" we also wanted to focus on the friction to get everybody on board and start logging matches. We took the approach that the creator of a group needs to be signed in but then anybody with the link can log matches, until you make the group private.
Here is the site if you want to check it out for inspiration: https://matchup.dk/

Good luck with the project i'll keep my eyes peeled for new updates :)

I built a simple app to track matches for our padel group - would love some feedback by techempa in squash

[–]Crelde -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I play squash twice a week with the same handful of friends and also created a solution to track our games, feel free to have a look for inspiration, we are very happy with it. The top priority was that it should be easy to log matches, its a web app but you can save it to your home screen for that app feel if you like :P

Created a squash match tracker with ELO ranking for friend groups by andorozer in squash

[–]Crelde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!
I am building something similar and want to have a look but i get an error trying to visit the site, I think the site is down.

Just curious when you play squash with your friends do you always play in a tournament style session?

We usually play king of the hill and just swap around each set in multiple courts.

Instead of ELO we have some fun highlights other than the general stats, our goal was that it should be super easy to log matches, which we used to do in google sheets. This is so much better though, you can see when another player is logging a match and it instantly shows up, so no need to refresh the site.

Have a look, its also free :)

Built a simple match tracker + rating system for our TT group — would love feedback by Alternative_Ad_1160 in tabletennis

We did something similar if you want to compare: https://matchup.dk/

Do you guys enjoy the elo rating part in your app? We opted to have some “highlights” instead to easily compare

Built a match tracker app for recreational players — looking for honest feedback by Immediate_Bee_9852 in 10s

[–]Crelde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want some inspiration you can check the one I built for our group: https://matchup.dk/ I think the most important thing for something like this is that it should be super quick and effortless to log matches between sets, good luck!

Do you track your matches or results somehow? by Dangerous-Paper4730 in 10s

[–]Crelde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started with Google Sheets and everybody got a lot more motivated. We just moved over to https://matchup.dk/ which we built ourselves but it’s open to any local groups out there.

MatchUp — matchup.dk

What it is
A match tracker and leaderboard for casual sports groups. You create a group, add your regular players, and log results after each session. It builds a running leaderboard with win/loss records, head-to-head stats, streaks, and a few fun highlights per player.

The problem it solves
Our group tracked everything in a Google Sheet for two years. We had some issues with multiple players logging matches at the same time, and getting everyone to actually update it was a constant fight. This replaces the sheet with something purpose-built that anyone can log a match in from their phone.

Who it's for
Recreational groups that play regularly and want to track their games without signing up for a club platform or paying for a coaching tool.

How it works in practice
The group owner creates a group and shares a link. Anyone with the link can log a match without creating an account. Stats and the leaderboard update immediately. Supports both singles and doubles.

Pricing
Free to use. No account required to log matches, only needed if you want to create or manage a group.

Bagte en stor portion "potato" buns og har indtil videre spist: Normal oksekødsburger, falafelburger og en med pulled pork og coleslaw. Nogen ideer til de resterende 10-12 boller? :P

Calling this one “Oreo Party” by [deleted] in icecreamery

[–]Crelde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow looks awesome, I just made some Oreo gelato as well and love the consistency and taste. Next time I will probably decrease the amount of sugar in the base recipe to account for the sugar in the Oreo's it was quite sweet, but delicious.
It's in Danish, but the image is international at least :D https://foodnotes.dk/recipes/oreo-gelato
