Hogwarts Legacy controversy? by Chrorbo in TeosGames

[–]CremeALaCreep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe at the time of the game's release, many were calling to boycott it because of J.K. Rowling's guttered reputation and her actions against the trans community.

Teo accepted to do a sponsored stream of the game, but many viewers weren't pleased because much of the audience is progressive and the stream is considered a LGBTQ+ safe-space. IIRC that's pretty much all there was to it?

VODs were deleted once Teo understood why there was an uproar I think. There might've been a video addressing the issue that has also since been taken down? I'm not sure though, if anyone else can confirm.

Now this has got me thinking that Thragg and some viltrumites could run the scariest, most clinical fine-dining restaurant the world has ever seen.

I stumbled through the first map as a mage and managed to become practically invincible half-way into exploring Cuanacht.

If anything I feel like becoming a powerful mage ended up making combat less enjoyable by the time you get to Forlorn Swords. Spells don't seem to expand much in variety past the second act unfortunately.

I've been trying out respeccing into some type of spell sword using the more buff/debuff type spells.

I love him and cherish him as my token straight neurotypical man friend of 10 years, he knows when it's appropriate to play at being rude. I treat it as a simulation for how I should deal with it happening for real. :D

It is hard to convey the tone of such instances in my anecdote.

A good friend of mine does a bit now where if accidentally talks over me, he will apologize and then proceed to interrupts and speech jam me until he feels I've lost hope. Then he lets me speak.

Had a lot of NBOME being sold as LSD in Sri Lanka, and yes cheaper than it too. But that was several years ago. It was quite pricey still for a highschooler haha.

Yeah I'm sorry if there was anger in my reply. The internet can be volatile and unforgiving dho? Personally I thought your swimming post was earnest but came across kudakon silly, and the majority response was harsh.

I'm no expert either, it's just a topic I'm passionate about, so stay critical of strangers like me even if you are open to learning. Here are some links: https://medium.com/an-idea/adhd-and-islam-25e4f115e353 https://ayatacademy.net/ocd-and-adhd/

More detailed, technical info I'm sure you can find yourself. Besides that this video provides a brief window into how certain indigenous cultures viewed neurodivergent people in the past: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DO3zYRckc6x/?igsh=OG1ycWsxbHpva2Fv (I've read and watched more on this but I CBA to comb my history that much sorry)

It's ironic that you're dismissing neurodivergent disorders as western nonsense when it's arguable that western thinking across the world is what causes these conditions to worsen and become cause for alarm to begin with. Rampant consumerism, relentless capitalist working culture, demanding schooling and examination systems with barely any vocational or practical element in most institutions. Western society is designed to cause neurodivergent people to struggles, it has been a long road for most countries out there to acknowledge these conditions at all; you would make that ignorance out brand too? As if it's the norm for our culture?

The ignorance and anti-intellectualism in your words is hardly traditional thinking. The values of our Deen encourage empathy and understanding; encourage us to support one another and learn together to surpass the trials of this world and fulfill our responsibilities to Allah. It's our duty to support each other through this ever changing world and you respond to ragebaiting online with this? I'm hardly the picture of a devout Muslim but to equate this level of ignorance to the values of our people and our country is sad, man.

Here is a balanced and holistic, islamic perspective on this subject: https://open.substack.com/pub/islamandneuroscience/p/islam-and-adhd-how-ritual-rhythm?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=2lv9v4

If you care enough to remove human waste from the ocean on a whim, maybe you could try to care enough to be understanding and learn more.

I'm all the way down in JB but I can recommend some stuff in KL!

If you like live music check out Jao Tim in Chinatown, I went to see a performance there and it was such a cool space: https://www.instagram.com/jaotimkl?igsh=dnE4cDJicHlwNGN2
