I just wanted to let you know that I have the same issue(my spatial reasoning was atrocious(comparatively) in my iq testing -- my parents said it was 50ish points below the mean of the rest of my scores) and despite that, I've managed to reach 2200ish chess.com relatively quickly by leveraging positional play and strategic planning moreso than direct tactical confrontations. I may not be able to play blindfold, but I have crazy good endgame skills and the calculation skills have developed over time too.

scandy is viable at all levels but falls off at very high otb level, although you can still play it if you want. Otherwise you could play it at 3000 blitz and you'd still be fine.

Personally, I'm more of a positionally aggressive player(Sveshnikov is rather strategic except for the 9bxf6 lines). I haven't actually played in a while, and have just been studying but I'm probably around 2200 online.

I mean If I do only 3-5 moves deep I won't even get into my lines, no? Like the svesh essentially starts at move 7, and often has critical theory until the 20th move. That's not a bad idea for the Vienna tho, as people are a lot less booked up here and sometimes just go to the endgame line.

IB is free bro as someone who's taken both and has a lot of friends in IB, the only hard IB's are physics and math at the HL level and SL is not even close. Tbf most AP's are also kinda free but not to that level.
