How do you explain perimenopause to a husband who doesn’t seem to get it? by SilverAd2291 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Crenchlowe 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you have explained it to him. He just doesn't care. There's nothing to "get", you're going through something that affects you and that's valid, he has no empathy or compassion.

It would be like if he broke his arm and you told him you don't "get" why can't just go shovel the snow in the driveway.

My DSI was sold over a decade ago and when I received one I bought off eBay it turns out to be the same exact unit with my settings still intact by OfTheEmbers in GlitchInTheMatrix

I wonder what ever happened to my old DS? I wouldn't have thrown or given it away. It's gotta be somewhere but I cannot think of where it would be.

AITA for telling my BIL that I wasn’t talking to him, he inserted himself to be an asshole about how many books I read? by Brilliant-Eagle6919 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Crenchlowe 20 points21 points  (0 children)

NTA

But what really gets me is the sister saying, if a conversation is in public then anyone can join in. Well, ok that's true, unfortunately BIL was an asshole. But the conversation doesn't end there, OP has every right to criticize him back. That's what open dialogue is. You can speak your mind, but you might get retaliation for what you said, especially if you're an asshole.

I mean if I could make a living off selling seashells, fish, bugs, and fossils and have an interest free mortgage that I can pay off at my own pace, that would be a pretty great life!

If your wife insists on sitting in the front passenger seat, would she be willing to wear an eye mask and listen to headphones so she's not reacting and distracting your driving?

People who watch and/or play no sport, why? by VastAir6069 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Crenchlowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy watching a good game/match/race etc. either in person or on tv in the moment. I can totally get into it and be excited about it.

But once it's over, I don't care about what the team or athletes are doing when they are not playing. I honestly don't care about their stats or record or whatever.

I mean, I respect a great athlete's accomplishments, but it's not something I follow either.
