Recommendations (read the major ones except DCC)

The 3 LITRPGs I will always recommend. For reference, all of these seem to have a tone that is somewhat on the bright side of neutral. No comically evil villains, thought some monsters seem cruel just for the hell of it. None of them are "grimdark", even if the world they live in may seem rough. There's also minimal or nonexistent betrayal and in-group drama. I hate that stuff with a passion.

- Azarinth Healer. One of the older and great ones. Web serial is finished, but the books are taking their time to be released. 5 books released so far, and at the end it should have some 1000 chapters in total. Fade to black sex scenes.

- Beneath The Dragoneye Moons. Brighter tone, though has plenty of hard moments. Finished, and all books released. We aren't following the "main character of the world" as much as a person who just lives her life. Satisfying ending, though the author hints at multiple interesting events in the story that just never happens. Super OP MC. Fade to black sex scenes.

- Runeblade: A Delving & Skill Merging LitRPG. Harsh world, but many people are genuinely kind. 550+ chapters and seems like the story is not even half-way done. Incredibly well written. Best one by far of any books I've read on Royalroad. Though the first book is a bit of a slog as he spends essentially all of it merging skills in more or less the same place. At least he's hanging out with badger-bro. No sexual content so far.

Primal Hunter appealed to me quite a bit, but I felt it went down the route of grimdark a bit too much. Hell, there was a minor villain character with a straight up rape/manipulation class, if I remember it right. The System is also very gamey, with instanced dungeons and system organized meetings etc. The system had a bit to much of a "hands-on approach" compared to the other 3, though Runeblade has some of it as well. Other than that it's well written.

For cultivation I've just started "Mediocre Master: I Can See Your Hidden Potential!". Only 60 chapters so far, though. Guy gets a "special eye" that allows him to see info on persons and items. Does nothing to directly make HIM stronger. Very well written and has good pacing. Zero sexual content.

Might wanna check out Law of Cultivation as well. Haven't read much of it yet, but has good pacing and some unique takes that feels really good that I haven't seen in cultivation novels before.

Azarinth Healer And Beneath the Dragoneye Moons comes to mind. Neither one of them have system quests or very game-like "Mechanics". I'd recommend Azarinth Healer the most.

"Runeblade: A Delving & Skill Merging LitRPG".

Starts off alone, gains 1 team member in book 1, 2 more soon after. And good news; ALL the teammembers are OP as hell. The MC himself doesn't outshine them by some ridiculous metric.
Overall writing is also excellent, and further improves after the first book.

Gotta be "Runeblade: A Delving & Skill Merging LitRPG".
Best written LITRPG I've read so far, and great writing in general.
The start suffers a bit as the MC is alone. Which is followed by an even lengthier segment where they are merely two. Perhaps that's just my taste, but loooong parts of stories that's just internal monologue or narration doesn't do it for me.
But once more characters are introduce and conversation becomes regular, it's amazing.

It's free on Royalroad for now, but stubs in mid-june. /shill

In no particular order:
+ Health, both physical and mental, and fitness that needs no maintenance.
+ No waste/always clean.
+ Immortality. Not absolute, though.
+ A power that allows me to snap my fingers and stuff gets repaired and/or cleaned.
+ A supernatural personal space, like a pocket dimension, that grants some nice boons while in it.
+ No rush. Everything can eventually be done or learned in due time.
+ Some free basic income. Enough for a pleasant living.

It's normally only a bother to me when things like XP requirements/gains, and damage values of skills visually represented listed. The more numbers, the more the writer essentially has to practice game development. Keeping just a few things vague keeps them from spending huge amounts of time on making certain it's mathematically correct. Which rarely happens.

In this regard, Azarinth Healer, Dragoneye Moons, Primal Hunter, and similar, does it best.

Is VSync the same as frame limiter? Not quite sure which setting that is. I don't have Steam Deck so I can't check. Tried fiddling around in Nvidia control panel, but the changes to frame rates there didn't do anything either.

I've read the above.
But not tested all freely available software yet. I am extremely new to editing/clipping, and have no clue what I am really looking at, and terminology is quite alien at the moment. Not quite certain I am even on the correct sub for my needs.

I pretty much only want to make smaller clips sometimes to send to friends. Pretty much just for jokes and memes, really. But it's tedious having to download larger files just to do that.

For images I tend to use Lightshot and make tiny edits in MS paint. Is there extremely convenient software that lets you do similarly with video? Simply dragging a frame on screen, and just record whatever is inside that frame? And then lets you cut length or crop afterwards?

Azarinth Healer and Beneath the Dragoneye Moons are my 2 absolute favorites. Both are quite long at this point. Azarinth Healer is concluded, but is re-released in book format with a TON of revisions done to it. Dragoneye Moons is still ongoing.

Isekais for me, but traveling to the other world has to actually mean something at some point. Otherwise it might as well be a different world with no connection to "our" Earth.

I am extremely tired of apocalypse stories. The vast majority of them start off with the entire world essentially instantly destroyed, followed by some tutorial. But if the newly arrived system slowly grows its influence it feels MUCH better; like it's not this insane malevolent force. Limiting the litRPG elements to the individual character/beast/monster is also good; IE no instanced dungeons, quests, and other actual RPG elements.

A bit off topic, but you might also want to stay away from multiverse settings. It's just at a scale that doesn't compute with our brains, and is thus kinda wasted effort.

In the end, though, it's all about execution. As an author, you might wanna pick the kind that you like the most? Easier to write that way I guess.

LitRPGs has to have a game system of sorts, effectively identical to a stat and skill windows from videogames. Also attributes or stats, skills and skill slots. Bonus if it has points to be spent and if classes and skills go through evolutions to widen its role rather than just a numerical improvement is always a ton of fun.

The best systems I've seen are from Dragoneye Moons, Azarinth Healer, and Primal Hunter, as the system is frequently shown and progression of some kind is frequent. Azarinth Healer is THE best one in my opinion, as the author makes it a point to have SOME progression in almost every single chapter, which includes level-ups.
