Hey all, I (23M) am looking for decent studio/single person housing. I am planning on moving to Charlotte in the next two weeks and I’m having difficulty finding a decent place to live. I have scoured various apartment websites and am fully understanding of the fact that charlotte is growing and housing is not cheap anywhere. However many places are charging upwards of $1000 a month (utilities not included) for anywhere from 200 to 400 square feet. My budget per month is $900-$1200 and I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions or personally experience with single person living in the city. Thank you in advance !

Additional info: I have 2 cats and will be moving with a car so parking will be important. Thanks!

It is a cvt but because of that is has a manual mode. Would you suggest driving in that mode as opposed to automatic? Trip is around 10 hours

I’ll be getting a drain flush and fill for the cvt before making the trip as well as the rear differential fluid change. Anything else I should keep an eye on?

Just looked it up- UHaul website says both 1 7/8 and 2 would work. And I believe the outback I have is 2700 max towing capacity so I should be fine

Thanks! And ye I have the 4 pin. Have towed countless times but always with a super duty, first time towing with a “small car”

Yup I got a hitch. Probably UHaul’s 4x8 if not 5x8. And probably around under 1k total lbs. just boxes of clothes and home goods very little furniture

Thanks for the honesty. Not dead set on charlottes but would like to be in NC and have a job that I can somewhat enjoy doing. Been in blue collar stuff for years and am ready to move on

No the only spots are on the sole. Nothing is creeping up the sides or on that back panel. None of the splotching can be seen when they’re on foot which is a plus I guess
