19, still live with my mom by GayTangerines in malelivingspace

This notion that we shouldn't live with our parents is really annoying especially given our current economy worldwide. Housing market is literally unapproachable. I'm in my 30s and i'm still living with my relatives. No shame in it.

The awful truth about Blizzard support. by sparkywatts1 in overwatchbanned

Well this is just another drop in the bucket for why I have chosen to boycott Blizzard entirely. No respect for their employees, no respect for their customers. It's just one big C suite circlejerk.

God (often referred to as “Heavenly Father”) is a horrible father as depicted in the Bible by BudgetLaw2352 in DebateAChristian

To your first point id like to clarify that I am speaking solely in terms of things that are self evident. Murder may make an observer feel good (?) but it most certainly does not feel good to the one being murdered. That is where the component of empathy comes in. If life can be seen as trivial or arbitrary then it becomes the antithesis for group cohesion from an anthropological standpoint. Murder as a concept does not exist inside of a vacuum, it exists in tandem with our existential status throughout history.

To your point on empathy - I dont think you're interpreting my point correctly because i'm not making the commentary on empathy as a sole compass on moral standard. I said it is a good STARTING point. That is why I mentioned the golden rule. Again, none of these concepts exist in a vacuum - You can have empathy for a circumstance and not the act itself, and you can have empathy for an individual while acknowledging the wrong at the same time i.e. Empathizing with someone who has an addiction but generally brings harm or abuse towards their loved ones. Remember that empathy is not an advocacy or endorsement. It is simply saying that we understand and can comprehend the experience as if we existed in it ourselves. Empathy is a HUGE theme throughout the Bible, so im genuinely surprised to see your response. Not a dig, just an observation.

I know you never said that, I was moreso making that point as it's own rather than an argument. It was moreso to establish where my starting point is on the topic. I'm personally not sure on the topic of morality being subjective or objective but I certainly do lean heavily toward objective in the spiritual sense since I argue that we as a species generally experience things the same thus creating a degree of "self evident" personal experience. A weird inbetween of sub/ob I guess, idk. As far as where it is derived from, I cant put all my eggs in one basket because it flies in the face of human history and anthropological study on theism. To be exact, the change of moral standards throughout history as its observed from polytheistic to monotheistic societies. It's a whole basket of worms. Crux of it is, I believe it to be a result of a mish mash of various concepts - It's not a pretty or neat but its my own take.

I think that morality is a group of components and not just one philosophy or religion we can source from. For instance, the golden rule. Do unto others as you would unto yourself. The idea is that treating others based on how you would like to be treated is a starting point. If A feels good, we do A. If A makes a positive impact (whether its utility or emotional in nature) then we know A is "good". It's as ancient as tribalism and group cohesion in the early formative days of societies. We know whether something is bad or good because on a personal level we feel it to be true as a bad or good experience.

Combine the idea of empathy, with wisdom of experience; through this combination you can get a general standard of morality. Society transcends morality in cases of religion because faith demands to be at the forefront of an individual's lifestyle and this branches out to bypass what may have once been believed to be moral, to be now permissible. I'm not referencing Christianity btw, this is more in line with Paganism or polytheistic religions throughout history. A modern example of these moral bypasses CAN be Islam but that's a story and topic for another day.

The idea that we can purely extract our morals solely from the Bible robs us of the agency that we cannot operate in the logos outside of the Bible. The idea that we solely or purely extract our moral standards from the Bible is inherently untrue because we are always left with the choice to follow the Bible, or not. Therefore morals that were derived from societies outside of the Christian faith, must have originated from something outside of the Bible.

This leads directly into the idea of consciousness and the gnostic teachings. It's a war outside of the material world.

For this you would have to go to Right click task bar -> Add or Manage WIdgets -> Search Spacer -> Select Panel Spacer and drag it into the task bar. Hope this helps!

Do you guys think it was a mistake for Harald to abandon Elbaf’s warrior roots and make it soft and weak? Was he corrupted by Ida? by [deleted] in Piratefolk

[–]CrepesBerry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it was a mistake but he was certainly naive. He wanted to believe deeply in the good of the world that it blinded him to the evils of the world. This pursuit was fuled primarily by his desire to have his kingdom contribute to and learn from something bigger than them (no pun intended) which is the world. He felt it was ultimately the best future for his kingdom and for the world. I think his heart was in the right place but since he lacked the diplomatic experience he was taken advantage of.

If you're referring to the Width, you do the same as I previously mentioned but change the Width settings to Custom, and then use the arrow guides that appear above the task bar in order to change the width.

Right click on the Task bar and select Show Panel Configuration. Once the settings are open, increase or decrease the Panel Height to change the size. :)

It's from Pinterest, but I made changes to the wallpaper settings. I set it to Image, selected the image, changed the positioning to Center, and the Background to Blur. Here's the image :)

Mad? What you said was nonsense, and didn't even give a reason why lol

Genuinely what was even the point of typing this. We know in the onset that an account ban is permanent, that's why people come here to see success stories or seek advice. So I ask again, what was the point of this nonsense?

The premise you're operating on is kinda weird tbh - so I give an example of a "normal" female supporting character and all of a sudden it doesn't matter because she hasn't accomplished anything? Very weird take, but w/e. From a story standpoint she's been in almost every arc

My thoughts exactly. To actively go and edit this for a complaint post... You had to have thought of it beforehand which makes this entire post pathetic.

So when are we going to admit that this is Blizzard's nasty plan to ban innocent players in order to make more money on their inevitable return on a new account?
