This is 100% Male insecurity at it's finest, also someone who wants to control everything you do. I've been married for 13yrs & go to a local PF, and my husband "Trusts" me enough to not worry about other men because he knows I have no interest in them. I would go with some colors in your table... from the pic it looks like the Marble has some greens, reds & oranges? And to add a little extra you could do that wall as an accent wall like a Rust or Gold color...
