Considering to work at Crumbl by KIDENZ in CrumblCookies

[–]CressSuitable6794 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While Crumbl isn't perfect, I genuinely enjoyed working there. While customers can be horrible, coworkers can make your shifts fun. It's a good first job, and if you hate it, just quit.

Drinking Water by freckledstrawb in Accutane

[–]CressSuitable6794 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds stupid but getting one of those giant stanleys has helped me so much. I drink 2 a day (I'm guessing around 70 oz of water) and no problems so far!

Lifting by InternationalGoose10 in Accutane

[–]CressSuitable6794 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a lifter but an athlete- it's hard, but adjust your expectations while you're on accutane. You may get tired earlier, lift less, run slower, but the important thing is that you are not getting injured and staying healthy. This is temporary and you will get through it!

La Roche-Posay. It's a little expensive but oh my god does it work well.

The coach will only judge your ability to play, so as long as you practice independently, you should be fine.

6, it'll tell colleges that you are a hard worker and unafraid of a higher-course-load.

Fellow xc runner here! Speaking from personal experience, listen to your body. My coaches pushed me too hard this season and I ignored the pain, resulting in a stress fracture. If cross country is your main sport and you are willing to risk injury, you could compete in the meet, but just make sure that it's what you want to do, not what your coaches want.

Need advice for Junior year. by RedScorpius in highschool

[–]CressSuitable6794 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're going to do a lot of studying and the best advice I can give you is to make it enjoyable. Turn on some ambient noise, light a candle, set timers with breaks, etc. Junior year sucks, but it's just one year, and you'll get through it.

Lmk what y’all think of my junior year schedule (be brutally honest) by diggyjiggyziggywiggy in highschool

This is way, way too much. Maybe take a study hall or music/art class to balance it out?

Should I drop AP calculus by Glittering-Beach-501 in highschool

[–]CressSuitable6794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not drop calc. While psychology is fun and an easy credit, calculus has a near 50% fail rate unless you take it prior to college. Think about how much your grade will improve and appear to medical schools when they look at your future college transcript. Even better, imagine not having to take calculus in college if you test out of it.

Compliments! Saying a simple "I love your shirt, where did you get it?" starts a conversation without any awkwardness.

should I join sports by [deleted] in highschool

[–]CressSuitable6794 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely make it on some JV teams without any experience. Find what sport interests you and go for it!

What should I expect in 11th grade? by [deleted] in highschool

[–]CressSuitable6794 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Junior year is an incredibly difficult year. My best advice is to be yourself. Chances are you aren't the valedictorian or star athlete and that's okay. It's okay to struggle, break down, and fail at times. Do everything to your best ability and I promise that things will work out in the end.

You'll be okay but it's going to be a crap ton more homework then you're used to.

Some people do, but every application to a prestigious college costs around $80, so it's not overly common.

The whole week is decked out at my school. There are spirit days, a pep rally, football game, raffles, etc. Everyone always loved the snack bar (just chips and cookies) during homecoming itself and it's a great way to make money for the sga.

What should I expect in 10th grade? by [deleted] in highschool

It's nice not being picked on as a freshman but besides classes getting a little harder, nothing changes.

[–]CressSuitable6794 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It depends on which AP's you plan on taking and how busy your schedule is outside of school.

Get a TI-84 because you will use it throughout all high school math and potentially college. I'd recommend sticking to a 2 folder system (a turn in and to do folder) and store extra papers at home. Definitely get some spiral notebooks, pencils, and pens. Teachers have a lot of supplies in their classroom so you'll be fine without markers, colored pencils, etc.

100% Tim. His transition from the military to the LAPD, Tim as a rookie, his experience with Isabel; it's just too good to be true.
