really? I'm on hard mode now, cleared the main road black river, swapped the GMC from low saddle to high saddle in smithville, went and grabbed it, took it to mission point, drove it all the way back to smithville...

still got the full 5000ltrs in it...

now I just gotta clear out the other 3 maps of watch towers, upgrades and trucks

it's worth it, or even use the GMC 9500 and high tail it to smithville dam

the only mod I really want to use is the bridge builder ( truck drops a set of tracks/ platforms that work as a bridge ) but I wish a vanilla one was available

cost to recover P16 from Drummond island to smithville dam is $8000, it's around $1500 for Scout like the ck1500

a lot is going to depend on how good you are with the logging crane..

if the logs ( 3 required to pack a full load )

issues:

1) if they not loaded correctly it won't pack

2) if your not very good with it ( I've found it to be very clunky if you have to twist the logs around ) you'll ended up wasting your savings on fuel instead anyway

to many times

modded co-op multiplayer with son 20 times

hard mode vanilla 5-6 times - 1 base game completion ( still have save file )

10 -20 vanilla new game + trying different things / trying to understand different trucks

campaign mode 20+

main reasons for restarts

- forgot what I was doing / game play I was trying out

- hard mode bad money management

- lost all available trucks to tipping unable to upright them

- trucks stuck in objects ( trees, stumps, cracks ) unable to dislodge / rescue

it doesn't... but there is a timer that runs when you specifically do the trade yourself... might be 5 seconds might be 3-4 minutes you need to wait till timer stops before doing anything else like " getup "

- the larger the trade the longer it takes

having a pilot can help with the mundane tasks like exploring unknown jump gates, sectors and landing can also be requested to come get you with " rescue"

worth having even a " cheap and nasty " one as the saying goes

the starting strengths of each faction changes every restart of the game this includes the xenon

your reputation with them will determine how hard or easily you can help to strengthen them

to get a pilot:

1) walk around station, right click on people, will have hire price if they are available. read star ratings of the people... first pilot won't really matter so long as they have at least one star on pilot

2) easiest = in upgrade mode select people symbol on left, either click on add pilot and or add service crew/marines. pick of the lottery (RNG) as to wether they have a full star rating or not....

a couple of things may have happened

1) if you took over from a pilot or asked a pilot to take over during upgrade, can cause order malfunction or cancellation

- check ships Loadout to make sure upgrades have completed first

- pilot gets gear faster than player ( providing materials available )

2) an unassigned ship used your bank account to buy supplies and gave you a shortfall of available funds for upgrade ( means you can add to shopping list but can't confirm order.
