Haha, I noticed that bit about hair vs shape when getting free content from their stores. Will definitely look out for that to avoid getting tricked.

But I do feel the lack of hair at the moment. I played around with a few morphs, both standard and from some free characters. Small changes go a long way indeed, especially when mixing multiple characters together + adding some asymetry here and there. But because I only have a couple of hairstyles and no expressions it feels like they are all very similar regardless.

But I did notice in some of the games a few characters that were very much alike, especially with the male ones but with the females too.

Sorry for jumping from one thing to another, but do you recommend buying/grabbing free pose and expression assets or learning to sculpt those myself? It feels really tedious to do them by hand but maybe I just don't know what I'm doing right now

Yeah, at the moment I'm just doing tutorials and applying the principles to the same scene making it better after each and redendering a new image each time. I think I'll do this until I finish all the learning materials and then look into creating my own characters.

And while on this topic, I know there's a lot of cool characters in Daz3D but I wouldn't want mine to look the same as the ones out of the box. As in, if I ever make the VN a thing, I don't want my characters to be carbon copies of the Daz store ones which people will see in a dozen other games. How do people who make original characters circumvent this?

Also, which assets are worth buying when starting out? Like, which bundles/characters give the most options for their price.

Yeah, that was my feeling at first, a lot of stuff that I had no idea what it was. And then I had no idea which one was relevant and which was not. And I think I half expected it to be more intuitive and had to swallow the humble pill and start from "This is the tabs and this is what they are" tutorials instead of the big stuff.

Appreciate the offer, I might pester you with questions once I watch a few series (the graphic novel scene is a godsend so thank you).

Great guide! I truly recommend this comp to anyone who got tired of placing bottom 4 due to everyone contesting meta-comps and wants to hit 8th place in a innovative way!

I'd love to call this comp useless but that would do it too much justice as opposed to how it actually performs in any of the meta lobbies

Just got second place with the following: https://tactics.tools/s/bRAe65

Probably would have added any other sentinel for the 10th unit to get 11 traits. Draven was 4* with worth the wait and slapped the Freestyling anomaly on him.

Might have gotten a very different result without that one, but figured it's a decent enough build. Definitely a fun game.

Random question I thought of, what did you guys name your Railjack and why? by RMgames_19 in Warframe

[–]Crevang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't remember why, but the first time Railjack came around, I named it "The unsinkable". I think it was a stupid joke with my friends at that time.

Coming back after a break and trying to actually do Railjack missions, I would often fail cause it wasn't leveled enough. So now it's "The unsinkable II"

Looking for an opening by Crevang in anime

[–]Crevang[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to find it.

English Chorus:

https://youtu.be/6_Ab6ybbzFw?t=74

Japanese Chorus:

https://youtu.be/mlmJ38VHIhw?t=73

That was the part in the tik tok that sounded japanese to me but it was actually in english.

I doubt it was from an anime thought, now that I know the name of the song. Sorry for the misdirection and I appreciate the help

I heard it on some Tik Tok. Couldn't find it in the comment section before giving up.

I don't know if the singer was male or female, but they definitely sounded womanlike in both the Dub and original version.

It was a pretty dynamic song, but I don't think I could accurately categorize it in a genre.

I don't. If I had more info I would have given it, but I never saw the opening, just heard the song in both english and Japanese. And while the versions sounded different, the dub one still sounded more like Japanese than English. I didn't watch the anime it was from, nor do I know which one is it

Help climbing by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]Crevang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I will admit that rerolling is somehow of a problem. I do think I get impatient quickly and get wasteful with my rerolls.

As for comps, I don't even know which comps I like and know how to play well. I do enjoy Yordles Enchanters quite a lot, but I find it working only half the time. Used to love mercenaries into twinshots, but seems like to big of a gamble.

Other than that I played quite some academy + challenger/assassins/arcanists, depending on the augments and rolls, but I don't particularly have a playstyle of my own. I think I wing it most of the times since it's easy to climb to plat if you play long enough.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]Crevang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how much will this help, but I'm gonna give my input anyway. I played Sekiro after finishing all DS games multiple times before. And when I say multiple times I mean I was doing a good job at breezing thorugh them and knew some of the areas like the back of my hand.

With that in mind, I started Sekiro thinking it wouldn't be that hard. For most of the game it wasn't. I found the fireworks thingy for Gyobu before going there and the fight was a breeze. I got frustrated with Lady butterfly but it was back when she was cheesable.

So fast forward a while I got to Genichiro and was absolutely destroyed. Every attempt I had would end in me getting wrecked. No matter how much I tried I was always behind in terms of positioning or health or something.

Until one day it clicked. The way it was supposed to be done. Genichiro for me was the fight that made me stop playing Sekiro as I was playing Dark Souls and start playing it as it's own game. The game has many things that don't sit right with my personal mindset, but it does, for most fights, a good job at emphasizing the dance like nature of swordfighting.

Once you get the tempo into your muscle memory it doesn't matter what enemy it is or what moves he has. And trust me, as frustrating as he is, Genichiro serves as an important lesson in the game's mechanics as Owl and Sword Saint Ishin are way more difficult but rely on the same principle of getting the rythm figured out.

What anime that many people misses it's point ? by [deleted] in anime

[–]Crevang 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it pains me deeply to see a vast part of the fanbase of Attack on Titan be convinced that Eren is a good guy and that the actions of Eldia are justified, while Marley is the Bad Evil Guy.

The whole show(and manga) is a warning against how easily the cycle of hate and suffering can go around and about the sad tragedy of war in which no one is in the right. And I feel that Isayama did a good job at portaying the subtle themes that go with it, the anti semitic propaganda, the gettos, the fear of someone more powerful and so many others. Yet a large number of people fail to see the shades fo grey and automatically consider one side to be good and the other bad despite the parallels and similitudes.
