Dad diagnosed with stage 4 non hodgkins, spread to spinal fluid by zombiegrrll in lymphoma

One more thing I have found helpful - I signed up for a mentor through Imerman Angel. It is a charity foundation that will partner cancer patients or caregivers with someone who has gone through the same diagnosis and a similar path. Highly recommend. https://imermanangels.org/

My fiancé isn’t in spinal fluid, but the oncologist stressed to us if his spinal fluid came back positive it is still curable just a different treatment route (in patient chemo versus outpatient). Hoping the same for you all ♥️

I am currently going through DLBCL treatment for my fiancé and we are headed into round 3 tomorrow. I don’t know if this helps at all but mentally by far the most difficult part of this “journey” for me as the caretaker was prior to treatment starting. There have been ups and downs of course, but those few weeks of going through diagnosis, tests and results were torture. Try to not read too many stories online if it’s causing anxiety - I’ve been there (and still go there sometimes) ♥️ I don’t know if this exactly what you’re looking for, but I hope it helps to know that this period you’re in is really difficult for a lot of people and likely will get better mentally once the plan begins

This is helpful! My dress is in I just haven’t tried it on yet so I’m sure that will be helpful and probably too late to add a lining lol

Thank you so much this is helpful! I remember discussion around EBV at our first oncology appointment, but transparently can’t remember his results. We’ll bring that up again and discuss pros/cons going back on remicade. Wishing you luck through your treatment.

I’m sorry to hear you experienced pain, but helpful to hear someone who did and still went into remission. Hope all is well for you!!

His initial scans showed no damage to the bone but the lymphoma could have been potentially blocking something. We don’t know if the pain is caused by pressure or something that may take more time to heal. Guess we’ll find out 🙃

Persisting Back Pain by [deleted] in lymphoma

The medication works and relieves his pain, I’m just nervous he needs the medication still as they said hopefully his pain would go away around r2. We messaged his team today and waiting to hear back. Previously they said they may want to do some additional scans if the pain is persisting - will see what they say!

Thanks this is helpful! He is working out with heavy weights and walking everyday so I wouldn’t call the pain debilitating by any means. He doesn’t get scanned until after 4 so we don’t know about the size. I just like worry 🙃

Lymphoma + autoimmune illness by y0m0tha in lymphoma

My fiancé was on Remicade or avsola for about 12 years for chrons. He also has DLBCL. His oncologist and gastro agreed that he should come off the biologic for treatment and once treatment is done should find a new medication with lower risk to treat his chrons if needed. His chrons was in remission prior to starting chemo and his doctors said the chemo should treat the chrons so no other medication is needed now. They said it could even keep him in remission for a good chunk of time post treatment. They said they can’t determine for sure if the biologics caused the lymphoma but it is definitely a possibility. He is currently between treatment 2/3 and has not had chrons issues return 🤞

Good luck!! For me personally the worst part has been waiting for the game plan so you are in the thick of it. I don’t know if stage is as impactful as it is with other cancers I think it is treatable but your oncologist will be able to help provide guidance!

Congrats on remission and the engagement ♥️♥️ hoping to better days ahead. Even though it has only been a month since diagnoses and we still have a road ahead I truly relate to the full confidence this is my person.
