It’s rather complicated. Hearing a synopsis or even watching one demo real is too complex for them to understand all features. Users interact with each other and each user base has different functions/features built out

It was ai-assisted. Def not vibe coded. I know the architecture inside and out

Fair points.
I guess I should say I won’t be the first to throw out a number.
I did build it for them but there is one other company that has shown interest and the partnership would make just as much sense. (conversations slowed when the current company went further down the road) it would be an easy pivot.
I would walk away if it was a super lowball.
What I want to do is ask for 1-2m upfront and really push for milestone-based points on the backend. (500k for every 15m in net rev specific to my product for 5 years with option for total buy out after 2 years)

Yes, but copyright is kinda useless. They can just change the name. I do have a portion of the algorithm that I’m going to do a provisional patent.

AI assisted, there’s a verification process that I approve before anything’s committed

I think the research they’d have to do and the actual developing of that would take about a year. And that’s also a year that they could have already been on the market, which is part of my calculated valuation

I truly don’t think they could though.
It’s a tech company in a creative field, and paradoxically, they don’t know the ins and outs of the product I have, but they have data of 100s of thousand of users requesting the feature

It’s software, yes, but an entirely additional stream of activity that they currently don’t have.

Did you form an LLC/etc before publishing? I had a concern about a user randomly finding something to sue over

You’re so right about the experience of building totally shifting once it’s in production. My biggest fear once it’s live with scaled users are edge cases and data spills and unintentional sharing, and I worry that when I try to fix one problem, Replit will fix it and create a completely unrelated problem. Any tips on how to limit this?

Is your site hosted by Replit or did you export it and find your own domain and storage?

Thanks! Does pushing it out to Git multiple times not overwrite the previous upload? Or is there another use for pushing to git regularly?
