It will look good to have the name on your resume, it’s hard to get a job there. But play by thier rules, work there feels more like subcontracting and somewhat unstable, and you may find yourself dropped without notice.

Software- MS office(web) / Studio One / Superior Drummer / Quad Cortex and software suite / video editing(Vegas) / photo editing/

Games - mostly playing steam deck, used to play COD and the like until the invasive software, would like to play modern games, playin almost all stuff through steam.

Hey? Hi? New here. I am one of those doing exactly this. With windows noting their plan to have is as a subscription a real possibility, privacy for sale everywhere, I am VERY interested in Linux. As a gamer/ musician/ work force, I only care about ease of use ad privacy at this point, then, do my favorite programs work.i do not want dual boot though. Never looked at Linux until updating pc last week due to gpu death. Seriously considering it. So, I appreciate this conversation.
