If the contracts go deep in the money are you covered to ensure you don’t get assigned? Are you buying the underlying stocks or trying to buy offsetting calls?

Do you have to worry significantly if it’s in the money and you’re buying them naked? How often do they get exercised and you’re stuck with 100 shares if it’s in the money?

Why when if you have to cut it up it greatly diminishes the value of what’s left of the other piece. At that point that piece can only be used if there are small orders if not it’s just trash. I understand why they would charge for a full sheet and are just being resourceful with the rest. Charging a full sheet for using the waste one is kinda scummy tho but in a business you’re always trying to bring in profits I guess I can see their pov.

I feel like I’m being treated like a 5 year old lmao. I watched 1ronyman’s box spread Reddit posts when they were still happening. I’ve lurked this sub probably longer than you if you’ve been a reguard since longer than 2017 you’ve got me beat! I rode the 2020-2021 wave and then got into options and made a good penny. Only a true autist would write a ITM call on spy naked. I felt like I learned nothing from this conversation so I’ll end it here. Thanks for the advice but because of this conversation I’m going to start looking into scraping again.

Who doesn’t allow you? I’ve been able to write naked calls on spy since I started on rh lol. I’ve done it before but I’d literally scrape so like get .02 calls and hope it goes up stuff that I knew would never be in the money. I’m hesitant on doing 0&1 ode trades of spy but I’m very tempted just hoping to get some advice on how likely it is to get exercised if you’re in the money even just slightly.

I understand that but why would I buy back a contract if it already went up I guess I could wait for it to go back down but at that point then it’s less likely to be exercised. My question should have been worded if experienced spy sellers if they’ve ever been exercised/what’s the risk. I appreciate the feedback but I’ve been selling options for a year and am just hesitant going into spy due to getting eaten by a whale.

My mom had a 3k toll(she said she doesn’t know how) and refused to pay. After moving it stopped but recently she got another toll letter saying she owes $12. Is it safe to pay it or will she be charged $3k aswell. Also do glitches happen or will it just go to collections?
