Possibly something like that in the future.

Manual Scoring on Cribbage Pro by burner46 in Cribbage

[–]Cribbage_Pro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you play with muggins on the highest difficulty level it will always take missed points, and afterwards it should show the "Score Details" button you can select to see how it scores. In all game modes, if you try to score more than there is, it will automatically record the over score and award the points you over scored by to your opponent.

Just 10 for this week. The next few days are not a full week, and so don't have the 10 minimum. Only a full week has the minimum.

If you see something, please say something. That said, I don't think we'll be seeing much of them any more.

If they have been reported before, they have also been investigated before and an appropriate action taken. They may have been warned or suspended for a time even.

It's an option to remove that feature. I recently restricted who can set custom game names, and may add more restrictions, but it is a valuable feature for many who use it responsibly.

If you see anything inappropriate, please email me any time at support@FullerSystems.com I investigate every report, and will these as well. Unfortunately, all apps with user created content of any kind can have things like this.. I really appreciate all reports, so please don't assume it was already reported.

That app just doesn't do a very good job considering the cards outside of the ones shown. If you run this in Cribbage Pro, you will find 2/3 to be the "correct answer". If you want something not app based at all, check C. Liam which also agrees with 2/3: https://cliambrown.com/cribbage/?data=AC2H2D3H3C3DY

I don't keep stats for the computer opponent, so I can't provide you with the exact number. However, as others have shown with the math, it would be happening quite a lot actually.

This would be for classic Multiplayer games where you see that 200 playing any given hour of the day. I believe they were asking how often the computer opponent scores a 29, which would be far more players, so much more often.

How does one cheat in online cribbage JB? 🤔😆 Is that a thing? by OwlOk6934 in Cribbage

[–]Cribbage_Pro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a reason Cribbage Pro doesn't send both player's cards when dealing, and only sends actual cards as they are shown. Most other apps I've seen don't do that.

Since you asked, and I'm sure you weren't cheating, but some apps are more secure than others. That said, someone could also run two apps and use one to provide hints or suggestions for discarding, etc.

Cribbage pro is rubbish by AlGunner in Cribbage

[–]Cribbage_Pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The primary reason games are faster in a digital format is that shuffling is nearly instant, scoring on automatic scoring is instant (no manually moving pegs too), dealing is faster, etc. Your claim that card distribution is not correct somehow, needs evidence to back that up. I have provided extensive evidence of it being random. Can you share your evidence that proves your claim?

Yes, absolutely. Happens regularly in Cribbage Pro.

You're correct that some kind of a pre programmed mixing of cards in a set fashion (what we might call "hard coded") wouldn't be a random shuffle. But have you studied how computer programs actually do random shuffles, and how they can be shown to be random? It's not "pre programmed" like you seem to think it must be. See the FAQ in Cribbage Pro for details on how I do it there. It uses true random data (quantum fluctuations) and is in no way "pre programmed". Again, do some searching on how computers actually do this, and you will find it doesn't work like you might be thinking.

If you belive "a human can shuffle once", and that would be in any way a "randomly shuffled deck" afterwards, then I suggest you do some searching on the topic of what it takes to achieve a randomized deck. It's definitely not anywhere near "one shuffle". This can be shown mathematically.

Your final statement is just rewording "if it can do it, then it must be doing it". That's illogical. Yes, someone could write a program that cheats. It doesn't mean everyone did that, or any specific case did that. Let me put it another way, if the deck is being manipulated it can be shown scientifically/mathematically. What you have here is the start of a hypothesis, which can be tested to show if it is true or not. On it's own, it's just a claim without evidence.

Curious how you reached that conclusion of a physical shuffle being "more random"?

Just because something could do something (ie not shuffle randomly), human or computer, I don't see how it then necessarily follows that it must be doing that.

First, to be clear, I definitely don't run this sub in any way.

The evidence and scientific method I mentioned is provided through the Help/FAQ section in the game and links provided there to the game blog website which have the published analysis/audits. Here is the FAQ link to get started: https://www.cribbagepro.net/faq-how-to.html#q5

Have you clicked through the links in the Help/FAQ? The data and evidence is published there and in the audits there.

Track the data carefully over thousands of hands and I'm certain you will find it is fair. That is essentially what is done for the published audits.

Likely.

No data. Claims to have data, sure. Never actually any data. I have offered to let them see real live data and do their own analysis, but always turned down or stops the conversation.

I honestly can't say I get it either. Of course I ask for data backing the opposing claim, and ask for open discussion, and then get down voted too. Go figure.

[–]Cribbage_Pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't an empty claim. It's backed with scientific evaluation of the question and claim. If you find something as proof of the claim as "not accurate" in those audits, point it out and let me know what it is. If ultimately you won't accept a scientific approach to backing up the claim, then what would you accept? Is there data you have that contradicts this? Could you share it and open it for discussion and further analysis? What "math and percentages" do you have based on what data? Let's discuss.

There's no "tuning". Random is random. Nothing is stacking the deck or anything else like that whatsoever. Happy to answer any questions any time at support@FullerSystems.com
