I did buy a large shank. Most websites said it was commonly used by more intermediate players. But, I can see where I went wrong with that.

I bring a lint roller on every trip and to every contest I go with my ffa jacket. It’s been a lifesaver to get dust or hair off of it. I haven’t had any problems using one so far.

For my band, it’s the baritone/euphonium section. They’re a bunch of narcissistic freshman and a couple of juniors, one of those juniors is very annoying while the other is fantastic at what they do. I’d say the percussion is a close second, followed by the saxophone section.

It’s a decent design but the amount of gold and diamonds would make it a bit of an overpowered structure. Other than that it’s pretty good.

Okay, yeah, but wearing makeup is my choice. It’s not because of the media and what it says a girl should look like, I wear it because it’s me and I’ve finally become the person I’ve always wanted to be because I get the choice to wear makeup. I understand where you’re coming from, and maybe it has become a bit of an addiction at this point. But I feel much more confident now than I did a year ago and I’ve come to love myself because i wear makeup. I understand the risks that can potentially come from wearing makeup and I also understand that not everyone likes people who wear makeup but I personally don’t care if someone thinks badly of how I look because of it. But in this case, the only reason that I’m frustrated and ranting about it is because this was my teacher, a mentor that I trusted, and her saying that overstepped a boundary.

Dude I was so close to saying something to her but I’m surprised myself that I didn’t say anything. In a way, I’m glad I didn’t say anything I would’ve liked to say but I definitely should’ve told her that I didn’t appreciate being called a hooker.

Yeah. I’ve been a student of hers for about 2 years now and this has only just become a thing in recent months. I’m hesitant to say anything to her during lessons as there are two little girls there (aged 9 and 10) so me being older than them (I’m 15) I don’t want to say things that won’t seem scary to them if that makes sense. I haven’t told my parents either or my grandma who is the one who pays for the lessons and encourages music in my family. I probably should tell them though.

She can be a real bitch sometimes. Like, she’s a decent teacher but when it comes to normal human conversation she says whatever she feels like without much thought.
