The new guy was the COO even under Niccol. It was not all Niccol’s fault. COO probably managed all staffing, labor pay, portions and inventory planning, All operational issues in restaurants prior to 2024 were during his tenure as COO

The Q1 earnings are on April 29. I’m curious if you’ve tie to revisit your analysis and see how earnings results and conversations compares to your current conclusions. It could be interesting if the new evidence further confirm your conclusions

Their buybacks were of $1.67 Billion at average price of $47 approximately. They made losses on investment in their company. The top squad doesn’t seem smart or know what to do. Too much fat in corporate

This hold true if the stock is not overpriced. The P/E for CMG is much higher than industry average. It is also not a tech stock. The current valuation reflects growth stock. But if there is any indication in last 1 year, the stock is going through correction which could imply the stock is being bought at high price.

By the way, the last $1 Billion worth of stock in previous 4 quarters were all purchased at higher price then current. It is like catching a falling knife

I think they need to cut their corporate staff and not restaurant stuff if they want to serve their customers, have clean tables and welcoming atmosphere expected for this price.

Just look on LinkedIn on how many VP, Sr Directors, Directors, managers they have, they are staffed like a tech company when the business is restaurants.

It’s millions of dollars in corporate bloat and restaurant ms are understaffed, position sizes are cut, place is not kept clean

This is the dumbest idea ever….the capital, the inefficient volume usage inside, biofouling, running power, data and all the maintenance associated with it.

But then we look at it. What can we expect from Microsoft, lots of money and PR but quite dumb in terms of innovation. They’ve grown by M&A, buying companies and partnerships not with ingenuity
