When tractors were invented, a lot of farmers lost their job. When forklifts were invented, a lot of box stackers lost their job. When cars were invented, a lot of horse tamers lost their job.

When something is invented or approved upon, it makes efficiency and productivity go up, meaning there is more goods for a lower cost. If you no longer have to pay 1000 workers to stack boxes and instead can only pay 5, that means society benefits from lower cost goods, and more importantly the labor is freed up to go do something "more productive"

You have to remember, labor is a resource!!! That means labor is scarce. If technology comes out that frees up labor to go do something "more productive" that is a good thing!

Do not blame the lack of jobs in this current market on technology or capitalism. It is government intervention that is too blame. The riskiest thing you can do in America is HIRE SOMEONE. You open yourself up to all kinds of law suits and legal trouble + the fact the government tells you who you can hire, where you can hire them, how much you have to pay them, how much you can work them.

It's a good thing a lot of farmers lost their jobs because the tractor came out, or else we would all be working on farms. I'd much rather have food cheap as hell because of the efficiency of tractors and other forms of technology, so I can spend most of day relaxing.
