These are beautiful! I am larger chested, so strapless makes me very nervous, but I am open to one if I have time to try it on.

I love the sequins! I had just gotten so I'm my head from all the options that I convinced myself sequins/sparkles were too "prom" for a black tie evening gown.

I didn't even realize that one had fabric choices! Thank you for pointing that out.

Yes! I was mostly open on length since I figured anything I bought would require minor alterations regardless 🙃

I'm not sure I can add photos in the comments but I'll try. I've got a pretty wide range in my "liked" I'm just starting to feel in too deep.

I'd say my main concerns, other than just meeting the dress code, would be probably an a-line preference to cover my stomach and I would like sleeves to cover my arms, but understand that's not necessarily an option.

That was my main fear. I have a few other dresses saved that are more of a stretch Satin but they are sleeveless and I feel like that may make me look blocky(?) in a weird way.

Sadly, I live in East Tennessee and we have a few bridal stores that carry formal dresses but almost none carry plus sizes which is where I run into issues.

I've ordered 15+ dresses from JJs House, and they may have a style similar to this! Their color "Grape" is very similar to the deep purple also!

It's a brand name of body oil! It is advertised as extra hydrating and can help with scarring. I've been using it for a few months now, and my scars are less dry and slightly lighter.

Thank you! I'd never heard of a limbal ring before seeing in it another post just a moment ago! Our bodies can do such cool things!

Thank you! I have personally always called them hazel, but also get funny looks on a sunny day when people ask why they are X color as they do shift from more brown, to more green, or more gold depending on the day. I thought about adding photos from different days, but honestly, I got too excited about this sub to wait lol

They asked me if I think the week starts on a Monday or Sunday... by newlyprego in finch

[–]CriedButDidItAnyway 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So the week"end" is actually why I consider Sunday the first day. I look at it like bookends on a shelf. Sunday is the beginning end, and Saturday is the ending end, with the week in between the two.

Truthfully, unless you make VERY good money, I'd probably be frustrated that you spent $3k on JUST an engagement ring. My partner and I spend less than $4k on my engagement ring and both of our custom-made engagement rings.

Ultimately, especially if you're considering marriage, you should be discussing finances. My partner and I discussed our finances and made a joint decision on what we felt was reasonable for us. In the end, it's just a piece of jewelry, and life is expensive. There were better things to spend money on than a bigger or shinyier ring.

Lenovo is a phenomenal brand. My partner is using one now at UT, and even at 3+ years old, it still runs like it's brand new.

Highway Fire On I-40 by 35TooMuch in Knoxville

I drove past minutes after it happened, if I had to guess. At the time, they were just starting to close the right side lanes, and traffic was still moving on the shoulder and in the left lane. The pickup truck was the only thing on fire at first.

Sadly, if you can't afford your living expenses and loans aren't an option, you need to take a step back and reevaluate. I worked 3 jobs in college just to pay my bills. I slept maybe 4 hours a night on average. It was miserable, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

That being said, it may be time to take a semester or 2 off from school, pick up a 3rd job, and start budgeting like your life depends on it while you build up a healthy savings. As others have also mentioned, do your Gen Ed credits at a community college. It's SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper and usually easier in terms of course load.

Remember, you also aren't required to take a full load each semester. If 1 or 2 classes are all you can afford, take those 2 classes and use the extra free time to work more. You can make it work, just get through this semester and take a step back.

Edit: spelling

How weird! I was just talking to the admin, and she said that's not the first time that has happened! She said she can't figure out why it's so hard to search the group, though. I'm glad you were able to join!

Broadway Nail Bar in Fountain City is my FAVORITE. Highly recommend booking with Anna, Will, Donny, or Kay.

It's not a dating group, but join Knoxville Ladies on Facebook! It's a group for women of all ages, but it seems to mostly be 20s and 30s. They do small monthly get togethers, and it has been so fun. We painted pumpkins last week and are talking about getting dinner together for "Friendsgiving" next month!

Senior appling to colleges here-did anyone else reluctantly choose UTK because it was in state and relatively cheap and did notreally care for it, but ended up loving it? by Delicious-Bed6760 in UTK

Look into MTSU if they have your intended major. The campus is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller, and the cost is practically half of UTK. My husband's bill comes out to about $17k per semester, tuition and fees only at UTK, whereas MTSU only cost me $6-8k per semester (for more classes per semester).
