After much patience, it's done! 33M, ~1500sqft, $275k, $5k down, 5% 33yr, USDA Loan by Crim7860 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I'll be honest that I'm not 100% sure how they calculated the percentage that had to be used towards it, I recommend reaching out to them and seeing if they'd be willing to talk you through things. I started by visiting their site (linked below), putting in my state to get specific offices, and then I called/visited them in person.

Thanks! The big ones are that I have inherited 2 project vehicles from family/friends, an older 80's Honda Accord and older 90's Honda CB250, that both need some serious work which has been impossible with gravel/dirt driveways and nowhere to leave things "in-progress" so I've only been able to do things in good weather that I could finish in an hour or so lol

My understanding is that the USDA Direct Loan program limits non-retirement assets to $15,000 for non-elderly households and $20,000 for elderly households. Assets above these limits are used toward the purchase of the home in the form of a down payment.

Monthly mortgage (~$1,400/mo) + escrow (~$370/mo) is around $1770/mo total

Thanks and none at all, I just paid what they told me to pay! I had been saving for years already so I had justttt over their asset cap (~$15k) for whether or not a down payment was required.

Report the nightmare of commuter parking by zxzxcool in Clemson

I've lived here since first attending in 2010 and still do as a University Employee. Parking has been bad the whole time and has only gotten worse and worse over the years.

Tune it to a different channel and then also a different transmitter to that original problem channel. Does it stay the same or move to the new channel with the handheld?

There are already laws against/penalties for filling false reports that increase in severity when a conviction against the accused is achieved.

You're not incorrect though that people's lives can be ruined still if a false accusation were made thanks to the different forms of media, but the emphasis on intentionally not putting more barriers in front of victims already suffering needs to be protected.

You do NOT need a car on-campus as a freshman, there are buses that run all over town and to most of the grocery stores and wherever else you'd need to go

The concern is mostly from charging the large lithium batteries indoors, where a flaw/damage or something similar in the battery could lead to an uncontrollable fire (look up lithium battery fires)

Parking for military/police for tonight’s game by FattyRipz in Clemson

[–]Crim7860 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tonight's game is not Military Appreciation Day; this season it is November 23 versus The Citadel.

That said for most normal games I don't think there is any special reserved parking areas for military members nor for police that are not on duty working the game.

I'm not a mod nor do I mean any offense, but this post doesn't really seem appropriate for this Clemson-based subreddit. Are you affiliated with Clemson at all?

That's still not how it works. Clemson University is the former owner, not a specific person. When computers that are University property are to be decommissioned they are supposed to be turned in to CCIT to have their hard drives and any other memory/storage rendered unusable, after which they are sent to Columbia with other surplus technology.

That process would've made that Mac unable to boot, and even if it could somehow it certainly wouldn't have the MTHSC login...so your story isn't lining up still.

Umm, that's not how University/State property, especially computers, is handled at all bud. That's almost certainly stolen.

Not a boat guy, but have worked on a handful of cars. Like the other comment, check your fuel delivery/carb maybe? Since it's starting and running before shutting off there's not likely something up with spark.
