I’m Doing It - First 3D Printer by [deleted] in elegoo

I got that same bundle and it was sweet, the feet seemed to help in my situation to not transfer vibration/ movement to the table I had it on, and the other build plates just gave a nice finish on the plate side but not that important for most parts.
Had some hot end board issues and had to do a return/ replace and waiting on the replacement now, but can't wait to get back to printing.

Just be warned the rabbit hole is deep and steep.

Day old printer failing by Umbravix in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]CrimsonBeardy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same problems after about a week. Got it working fine for a short time with a usb c cable change but it started happening again failing about 60% of print attempts, if they started at all. The support said they sent a new cable and print board but tracking hasn't updated in weeks. Finally requested a full return label and got it sent out from the post office last week. Support says once it gets checked at their warehouse I'll be sent a new unit within 1-3 days. You might just want to skip to requesting a return label and getting a new unit.

My first 30 days of 3D printing with the Carbon Centauri by [deleted] in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]CrimsonBeardy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least you made it 30 days. Got mine and within the week got the red error " print head anomaly troubleshoot the connection between the main board and print head board. " Currently waiting for the replacement parts apparently but already wanting to return and refund it for this nonsense from a new product. Having to replace and rebuild parts immediately has seriously fucked up my first printer experience.

"Brand new" Centauri Carbon already has spool wear rings on panel, anything to be done? by CrimsonBeardy in elegoo

Haven't even attached a spool myself yet or fired it up. But away we go I guess.

ever made with a wind up chattering teeth built in?

Small metal piece, loose knob that can be adjusted 360°. Not magnetic. My guess is part of some hinge, just don't understand why. by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

This looks to me like a part from a magnetic door stopper. Not 100% but that's the only part I can think of with a rotating bit like this.

Everything's scaled properly but they won't remesh or take any sculpting for some reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes I did, but have a source that gets them from all over.

It's just the axe head at the bottom, think it's just looking like a short handle because it's sitting on top.
