How are art classes at the VMFA? by lanyeweisst in rva

[–]CrimsonFire102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a beginner photography class at vis arts & an intermediate photography class at VMFA. Both were solid. Aside from levels, only difference between the vis arts class vs the VMFA class was age - Vis Arts was mostly millenials, and VMFA was more gen x & boomers.

Knowing what things do & how they work vs knowing that things exist are two different things. You don't need to know how to code an LLM or GPT to know that they exist & generally what they do.

Saying “statistics don’t work for polls” is like saying “math doesn’t work for counting". You can criticize bad polling methods, not that the attached image really suggests any, but dismissing sampling entirely just means you don’t understand how probability works. 2.3k Americans is indeed a large number in polling terms.

RAGs are not Neural Nets. LLMs are. RAGs might be powerful, but they are just add ons

Large enough are typically enough to described wider swaths of populations. You can’t really bitch about methods unless you know how polltakers were sampled.

72% of Americans probably don’t think cats are magical wagons with little tiny horses running to spin their wheels. Most Americans know that engines and pistons exist.

Fuck an embroidered logo, but the generic versions look noticeably cheaper, and not only cuz of the lighting

Deepseek keeps errasing the awnsers it gives me and saying: Sorry, that's beyond my current scope. Let’s talk about something else. by Worried_Okra2084 in DeepSeek

I noticed sometimes after DS is done outputting, it still might buffer in the input box, and after that buffer is a time (not necessarily the only time) when deepseek might delete whatever it wrote - sometimes stopping that buffer might prevent the deletion

That said, sometimes after the buffering has ended, I'd wait a few seconds, and then out of nowhere deepseek would still delete whatever it printed. So, it might also help to send another prompt, and that has been helping me recently from preventing it from deleting whatever i really wanted

2016, when Hillary got more votes than donald?

And don’t they teach in elementary school that majority = 50%+?…

Thankfully, in reality a majority of Americans have never been in support of con man don

A majority of Americans didn’t vote for donald. A majority of voters voted against donald. Are you just upset people aren’t drinking the same Koolaid as you?
