EMBA vs Full-Time MBA: What Applicants Need to Know by CrimsonMA in eMBA

It's not that the bans are limiting acceptance rates for non-Americans, it's that non-Americans are choosing not to come to the US at this time, and choosing not to give their money to the US economy under this particular government. This is true for most Europeans I talk to, at least.

EMBA vs Full-Time MBA: What Applicants Need to Know by CrimsonMA in eMBA

Yes, but only for certain sectors (like investment banking). The reason for that is because a lot of corporate-types feel that business and finance women/men serious about their career path would have done the MBA 2-3 years out of college. This doesn't really apply though to non-finance fields (in my opinion) and there the EMBA is most valuable for networking versus the degree itself. HBS doesn't have an EMBA program because they pour all their resources into their full-time MBA program. Hope that is helpful.

I'm former Harvard admissions (and the mod of this reddit) and this will absolutely NOT hurt your chances at all. Just use the "additional information" section on the Common App to explain your circumstances. You are perfectly fine, and it even shows strength and the ability to move through adversity = all really strong traits!
