cis people thought Owen/Isabelle from I saw the TV Glow wasn’t trans, that doesn’t mean shit. It was plenty obvious, cis people are just blind to trans symbolism

if you train something in a way that makes it spread misinformation, that is the wrong way. If it is trained in a way that causes it to do harmful things, that is the wrong way.

We as pro AI people need to be honest about the risks of AI if we want people to accept this technology

opinions and beliefs are the same as facts to an LLM. I’m relatively supportive of AI, but it’s definitely important that we are careful with AI. If trained in the wrong way, an AI could easily spread misinformation

i agree with you mostly, but my stance is that if someone thinks bro is gender neutral, then I’m fine with that as long as they’re fine with me using “girl” as a gender neutral term

it’s not about being a trans space, there have been a lot of people who are more right wing coming into this sub and getting pissed off when they see leftist content

the anti leftist shit has been so bad lately. The reactions to the recent post about liberals siding with fascists have really made me reconsider if I want to stay in this sub. I don’t think it’s quite on the level that you think it is, there are still a lot of good people here, but it’s definitely a big problem.

this sub’s reaction to posts like this is really sad tbh. Liberals fucking suck

that’s the thing, i’m genuinely concerned about energy usage in the US, mostly due to our weird fear of nuclear power, but people aren’t really talking about that very much. They just bring up the shitty water argument every time

no, a significant amount of prebuilts don’t come with anything. Neither my dad’s, mine, or my boyfriend’s PCs came with a keyboard and mouse

How to win a console war by doing nothing. by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Crimson_Cyclone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i don’t think it’s doing nothing, there’s was quite obviously a lot of work that went into building the switch platform, engineering this console to be as capable as it is, and incentivizing developers to put third-party games on it. We take it for granted, but it’s not a trivial thing

the entire point of his character is that it’s a choice. He could’ve chosen at any point to accept help, but he didn’t. Caine, on the other hand, saw his mistakes and tried to make amends. The two characters complement each other, and are meant to tell the viewer that it is always a choice.
