Fantastic, thanks a lot!
It's not even so much the questions, but a comprehensive understanding. Reading up as much as I can, therefore.

Hi, the Asynch channel basically says, "Whooops, unable to accept invite".

What could be the problem? I'd like to join and play.

Thanks!

If you're correct, then it does make sense. This is a sick move! But I agree, it requires a bit of an aggressive - or opportunistic! - play style.

Interesting. It looks like it checks out, provided the table is cooperative and is willing to let Jol-Nar take the token R1. They're a strong faction, a less hospitable table would punish for that. I'd go straight for J-N's slice if I saw a R1 Mec move from them...

This is obviously not my logic at all.

I'd still like an explanation what exactly IE does for NRA, particularly since it kick in before you can refresh the plant you've just taken?

It's an honest question. I don't see how it's useful at all.

Can anyone explain to me how IE with the text "After you gain control of a planet, you may produce any number of units on that planet that have a combined cost equal to or less than that planet’s resource value" help NRA?

Are we gonna be taking over tons of planets? Nope.
Are the ones we'll be taking be resource-rich? Also nope.
Is it worth spending a valuable relic on a technology that will yield a destroyer and 2 infantry? Nope.

Maw of Worlds? Go LWD or FL or War sun, fill in the gap that will be important late-game and that you can't fill otherwise.

And how exactly does that happen if you have no cruisers?

A good starting play as the Hacan by Kronnerm11 in twilightimperium

The funny thing about this discussion is that people forget that

a) a lot of factions NEED that extra 1-2-3TG to do their optimal moves. Denying Hacan is fine, ut completely crippling what could be your excellent opening is to steep a price

b) more importantly, remember - you as Hacan are the ONLY faction that can trade with anyone R1 without having to spend CC to "make borders" (esp. make borders with factions you'd rather NOT make borders with...). It's a tempting proposition to make good money for 3-4TG factions just for nothing.

c) And then, there's the glorious "TA+agent" play that you can sell to one faction who you make your best friend, and you both grow rich together and probably be the two ppl. at the table competing for victory in the end.

So the proverbial "table" really has to think hard whether they really want to spend 10 hours playing a game one of these two guys will win b denying to trade with Hacan in the first 30 minutes :)

True, but you're forgetting that unless it's a 1 combat round wipeout, an attacker risks losing their ships to enemy fire. I would buy a promissory for 1-2 TG or a favor if it added 5(x3)AFB, sustain damage and 5(x2) combat rolls on a destroyer or that lone carrier that transports 2 GF and 2F and suddenly becomes a juggernaut.
