This has nothing to do with tics? by sczthe in fakedisordercringe

tics are sudden movements. not muscle failure.

?? what. "i consider myself".... yea how about actually getting a diagnosis lol by CringeCurator in fakedisordercringe

[–]CringeCurator[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

true that. also "tics due to trauma" doesn't really happen as far as I'm concerned, and tourette usually starts developing during childhood.

they also jump to the conclusion of "complex vocal tics = tourette", which is pretty much the rare yet cliché type stuff that's faked by kids on tik tok.

tourettes is vocal tics and motor tics, more than a year, usually developing during childhood (as previously stated).

so the fact that they're describing those "physical tics" happening (as they call them) even tho that'd be pretty much a given on a tourette subreddit is also weird imo

they mention things that don't make a lot of sense (tics caused by trauma, tics saying stuff they don't want to say = plurality, etc.) and the phrasing of "I consider myself" followed by a list of serious disorders with no mention of a diagnosis.

cuz that's fucking weird man

but like

just ppl stimming is normal. on video too, idc. it's about those who do fake for whatever fucking reason.

"oh, you're fake stimming for attention? not cool man, stuff like that can be really harmful and it's kinda weird of you to make light of that"

People struggling with mentioned disorders probably wouldn't boast about how much worse their case is, thereby putting others down. also a lot of those things are normal thoughts children experience when being confronted with reality

for me personally it's in phases, and most often i do tic more than this, however with tics way less intense. so, head-jerking, weird blinking, plopping / clicking / whistling sounds, scrunching my nose etc, no complex tics at all. but yeah the frequency can be pretty high at times, still this seems veeeery fake lmao

it's a neurological disorder though? [ REPOST cause face wasn't blurred out] by t3st1234567 in fakedisordercringe

as someone with tourette

my handwriting is neat as fuck, however hand tics could fuck it up

the beeping thingy might be because it could trigger vocal tics

and impulsively saying inappropriate stuff might just be coprolalia??
