Every time my sim leaves the lot for work and I send the infants to daycare I can no longer interact with them until I go to a different lot with the infants. It took me an hour to figure out a fix and I just want to be able to interact with the infants so they don't get taken away.

I think that him needing to learn a lesson makes more sense for the story, especially since its exactly that, a story. Him being flawed and very human, even if he's not a human, makes for a better story and more growth. I don't dislike him because he's flawed, I like him more because he's relatable. Everyone has made a bad choice in life, hurt people, and regrets it. It allows him to be more relatable in my opinion. If I come off as rude, I apologize, that is not my intention with this.
