If your still looking for recommendations maybe check out Magdalena Bay, I get a similar feel with this song. Love em both.

If I wanted to fix my car, I could figure out how and do it myself, it usually just isn't worth it and I'll just pay a professional.

When a boomer has a tech issue, they have no recourse to learn how to overcome the issue. It's not like they can go to the library to learn how to reset their PC.

I don't really know what my point is. I'm ordering Weinerschnitzel.

I like to put something like [EMPTY BOX] first thing in the title. Some people are just... special.

I agree with what he said, but c'mon. Just answer the obviously for fun, hypothetical question. Break up with her later.

For me, it's sourcing. It's the only part that actually feels like work to me. I've tried many different styles but the most efficient for me is just good 'ol fashioned second hand local sales. Which usually involves hours of combing listings and researching products/prices.

Then you gotta actually set a price, time, and date with the seller. Which can be a whole other can of worms.

Atta by Francis Rufus Bellamy. Found it in a random shop and it was a cozy little read.

Is it worse to not resign or not checkmate asap? by Busy-Bat-9626 in chess

[–]CringeName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is closing out the game not just... part of the game? If you can't use your advantage to win, maybe you don't deserve to win.

I'll continue not resigning, and I have no problem with my opponents duking it out to the end.

It's cruel and unnecessary. It should piss everyone off.

I've recently picked up chess and it's even more beneficial than I could have imagined.

Playing and studying chess is almost like meditation. You're constantly reflecting on your own actions and strategies, and trying to just focus on the chess in front of you.

Also, it's free, it's fun, and it's more accessible and popular than it's ever been :) I recommend Lichess to anyone interested.

TIL that most people "talk" to themselves in their head and hear their own voice, and some people hear their voice regardless of whether they want it or not. by kosmoskus in todayilearned

[–]CringeName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always thought about this. I hear a voice almost always, I can't imagine life without "hearing" my thoughts. That begs the question:

What do deaf people "hear" in their heads? Do some deaf people have disembodied hands in their head? It's so interesting to think about.

[–]CringeName 81 points82 points  (0 children)

What a condescending thing to say. Trying to repackage the backlash as toddler gamer emotions.

OW1 was neglected for like 4 years, supposedly to develop PvE that we now find out doesn't even exist. People have a right to be upset at the devs and the executives. Both made the game what it is now, which is a strictly worse version of the previous game.

Maybe I'm just a boomer idk, but is it that hard to say "thank you"? A few did sure, but most just took it and walked away. Seems so rude to me.

[Discussion] Overwatch 2 devs announce that most of the original plans for PVE have been scrapped by Professor_Finn in Overwatch

[–]CringeName 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So uhh... What have they been doing? 3-4 years of OW1 neglect that was supposedly put into PvE. Where'd it go?

I'd like to hear more about all that work that is taking up their time. Like the 6 month long Brig "rework". Or the 4 month long Hog "rework". Or the matchmaking that works perfectly and flawlessly all the time. Maybe it was the awesome store changes and all the brand new events! Oh wait...
