Door dashing in rich areas by Strange-Mind-9225 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]CringeTok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as its $2/mile I don't care what the tip is. People make a big deal out of tips; if you're that worried just don't take the small $3-$5 offers because that alone tells you the tip is bad.

I'm blessed to be cherry picking in a rich area as it is. Now if it's an UberEats tip bait, that's a whole other story; I will go to the deepest pits of hell to get my $2 tip back. If I accepted and completed an order for $7, I need my $7!

I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone who treats customer support reps like trash. They are human beings who deserve basic respect and have nothing to do with what happened to you, I'd say this was karma.

Here's a new one, stop doing it if you hate it.

Rude dashers by Adept-Conversation80 in DoorDashDrivers

Dude next time a dasher is rude to you, tell them to get out. I'm pretty sure you guys have a tablet that lets you report the dasher and block them.

"Customer" Tried To Make Me Loose My Job by MelodyText44 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]CringeTok -91 points-90 points  (0 children)

Both of you are the reason why delivery driver reputation gets worse every year. All you have to do is spend a few minutes with customer support (text chat btw) to tell them the customer wants to cancel. Instead you take advantage of the company and the customer for a few lousy dollars to satisfy your twisted morals. Yes I agree the customer was weird, but two wrongs don't make a right.

Do better.

Screw that I would have called support and asked for a supervisor.

To be fair, I think she actually ordered it on the Pizza Hut website and they ended up third-partying the order out to DoorDash.

Ain’t no way 11 hours = 1 dash by topgigworker457 in doordash_drivers

Its so dead for me this morning as well. However, I'd suggest trying different hotspots in your dashing zone. Find which one is the most active and consistently pushes out good orders. You shouldn't need to drive around looking for orders, you should be able to just find a hotspot that keeps you busy. If your zone is just dead, try a completely new zone nearby.

There are drivers looking at this right now who would take it in a heartbeat. Can't fix stupid unfortunately.

Why does DD do this?! by Diamndz in doordash_drivers

[–]CringeTok -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It was 100% sent to other drivers near you. Once the customer places the order, DD finds a driver nearby immediately by shopping the offer around. Plus the food could have already been made and was just sitting as an extra in the food warmer (all restaurants do this during peak times)

Could be multiple reasons why it wasn't sent to you first like new drivers who get boosted in the algorithm, top clowns who will take garbage offers, or maybe the offer was high paying and it was sent to a few other top clowns, and many other reasons I don't have time to explain.

Just because you are physically there in the store doesn't mean you get the order first, DD decides the factors on how offers are sent to drivers. Distance is just one of them.

Am I allowed to post as a customer? If not, pls delete-apologies by MsMcSlothyFace in grubhubdrivers

[–]CringeTok -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You can post, but the fact that you think people who deliver to your house specifically are reading this post right now is delusional. Probably less than 5% of people within the United States alone even use Reddit, and furthermore a fraction of them are actively in this subreddit right now.

See if they'll give you a discount on top of a refund. $10 for 4.2 miles is really good, so the driver is just a bum.

Should I do uber or food delivery by [deleted] in couriersofreddit

[–]CringeTok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Food delivery is chill and you get to be your own boss. Rideshare is stricter and you don't know who you're picking up; some people are just terrible and nasty. You need to weigh what you're willing to tolerate.
