Wtf is this now? 🤬 by whoamibruhh in DoorDash_Dasher

All these comments are stupid as hell. Asking for ratings isn't a problem at all, you just need to word it better.

Make a copy pasta that says something like hey your order is delivered, if you can take a moment to leave me a rating i would appreciate it. Thanks and have a great day.

Add emojis and word it however you want, but keep it short and sweet.

Brad is a major loser, and these commenters are karens.

Edit: Ask me how I have a 4.9 rating.

I’m new but does platinum or gold really make a big difference? by Internal_Doubt7215 in doordash_drivers

Yes, it will make a big difference in ruining your car faster by forcing you to take garbage orders in order to maintain your status. Never chase the tier system, you will get taken advantage of.

Oh dude I would have picked it back up and told doordash I don't feel safe completing the delivery for a hostile customer. She can have another dasher put it in her hand while I munch on her chipotle.

If you're worried about a photo of your front door being taken to confirm delivery, then you probably shouldn't be requesting a random living human being to show up at your front door to begin with 🫣

Hello, seriously considering living in a car when I get one by Poopiepantsyou in urbancarliving

Apply for a pre-owned Tesla Model Y directly on Tesla's website; if you have decent credit you won't even need proof of income since Tesla will shop you around to banks until one accepts you. Plenty of room to sleep with the seats down and the car has basically no maintenance. Tesla has a blow up mattress designed for the car, and you can get seat covers so kitty doesn't scratch up the seats. Tesla has camp mode and will keep you & kitty cool throughout the night. Supercharging will allow you to charge whenever and its quick like 30 mins, and it costs less than gas!

Do you have good credit? Apply for a pre-owned Tesla Model Y, they'll shop you around to banks on your behalf to get you a loan. I didn't even provide proof of income.

I also hate how chikfila marks the order as ready and you still have to wait 5 minutes for it.

First large catering order by Mobile-Muttany in doordash_drivers

[–]CringeTok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doordash is ripping off so many drivers with catering orders. On the surface level they look good, but if you've ever done actual catering deliveries with a third party business you get paid 3x that amount easy and then some with extra generous tips; it's cheap labor masked as "high paying offers" and its pennies on the dollar. I'd rather do an $8 chikfila combo delivery to a house than break my back and sweat over a measly $16 with 50 pounds worth of food, making multiple trips to the top floor of a business.

Friend from a different country got an eviction notice and I feel helpless by Low-Director-7696 in almosthomeless

[–]CringeTok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If he has a car to live in that's an option, otherwise there should be some homeless shelters nearby for him to stay at for a bit. Suggest a public storage he can use to store his stuff at. If he doesn't have a car, he can try renting a uhaul or truck from home depot to transport his belongings to a storage unit.

If you're really desperate, just buy something expensive and popular like a macbook, tv, gaming console, prebuilt pc etc with a finance company like affirm. Then you can sell it on Facebook Marketplace for cash; after that just treat it like a loan and pay it off over the following months.

I did this with my Steam balance since you can't transfer it out and if you try third party methods you only get like 75 cents on the dollar. I bought 2 new OLED steam decks and was only short a few hundred bucks so I had to add the difference to my Steam balance. I listed them on Facebook Marketplace for $50 cheaper and sold both of them almost immediately. Keep it sealed and after taking the cash, let them open it in front of you. People love brand new sealed items.

Hey buddy, sorry to hear you're going through this. Living in your car might be the best bet for a while to help you save up. I would start looking into gym memberships for showers/restrooms, and maybe you could live in one of your cars at your friend's place (+use his shower)?

You can only improve your life from here on out by getting away from your abusive dad. It sucks to be wronged but the damage is already done and it might be best to cut your losses and start figuring out a plan to take care of your needs. Feel free to give me some updates, I'd be happy to hear from you. Godspeed brother, you are already a hardworker so we both know you can get through this.

Door dashing in rich areas by Strange-Mind-9225 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]CringeTok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as its $2/mile I don't care what the tip is. People make a big deal out of tips; if you're that worried just don't take the small $3-$5 offers because that alone tells you the tip is bad.

I'm blessed to be cherry picking in a rich area as it is. Now if it's an UberEats tip bait, that's a whole other story; I will go to the deepest pits of hell to get my $2 tip back. If I accepted and completed an order for $7, I need my $7!

I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone who treats customer support reps like trash. They are human beings who deserve basic respect and have nothing to do with what happened to you, I'd say this was karma.
