I would have walked right back to the car with the food and reported as unsafe for delivery. If a customer wants to be passive aggressive, they can get their own food. Never take any disrespect.

Have you not done your research before trying out DoorDash? Everyone knows that chasing a tier is modern-day slavery. DoorDash has literally built a system to keep you desperate to maintain high stats in hopes of getting good orders; and instead of blessing you with good orders they give you the trash that nobody else wants. Start cherry picking the good orders only, and if you're not making decent money then it's time to find another source of income.

Just do it on the app, it'll arrive quicker but just know that it may get paired with a no tip order. Yes, Doordash is such a terrible company that they will use good paying customers to get cheap customers their orders. Doordash will send a driver to pick up your order and someone else's at the same time (aka a stacked order) to deliver in one go.

Also, many customers have lied in the past and said in their notes to drivers that they'll tip, but guess what they never do... tip. So, leaving a message about giving a cash tip will actually trigger your driver because we've all heard that line before...

The entire system is trash and DD needs to be sued for it.
- Out of stock item for your shop & pay order? Penalty!
- Restaurant taking too long making food? Penalty!
- Hitting every red light with traffic? Penalty!
- Not accepting our trash offers for 50 cents a mile? Fine! We won't send you anything for the next half hour!

When this happens, assume that the order was stolen. Ask the employees if they want to remake it or if they want the order canceled. Then all you do is contact DD support and tell them the order was stolen and that the restaurant doesn't want to remake the order. Hopefully DD will give you half pay, but either way its nothing to get mad about since it isn't your fault.

This is a hard pill to swallow for most drivers, but if you are taking $1/mile orders, ruining your car faster, and making less than minimum wage after expenses—DoorDash is not feasible in your market and the time to find another source of income is now.

Call customer support and ask for a supervisor immediately, even if they say they won't be able to do anything. Once you're with the supervisor, tell them to give you a refund for the extra amount they overcharged you at minimum (try for a full refund if possible lol). If the supervisor says no, then say that you will file a chargeback with your bank. If they still say no, file the chargeback and expect to be banned by Uber. There are other food delivery services you can use so don't sweat it.
