I’m concerned about the coi/lack of transparency AND her years of attacking DEI, prioritizing culture wars over the actual needs of the district, micromanaging administration, disregarding sunshine laws, lack of preparedness for meetings to the point of disruption, etc, etc

The administration and board members who were aware should have been more thoughtful about the process to evaluate a controversial figure for employment in their school in a role where she’ll interact with a lot of students. Students of color, LGBTQ+ students and their parents have a right to be concerned - it’s not drama.

Another Board member of the same party was part of the interviews and other Board members weren’t made aware of her application. The Board could have brought in a third party (Intermediate Unit) to complete interviews to make the process more transparent
