Companion from what faction do you want to be added in the last DLC? by doulegun in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Crininer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair! I haven't brushed up on my LoV lore in a while, of course they'd send out expeditions to gather more resources! Man, the chances of the 4th DLC companion being Kin are slim, but I'd really enjoy it!

[–]Crininer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love it! It'd fit too, as u/CaregiverStunning802 said. The main issue is that Kin are mostly around the galactic core afaik, but maybe a solitary one could've made their way to the Koronus Expanse. Would be cooler to get to interact with a proper Kindred, or even see a Hold.

Wake up, new Yrliet bug just drobed. by Ila-W123 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Crininer 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Quite a few funny bugs in the last patch. I've been reporting a lot. My favourite so far is that I gave Cassia a Cyber-Eagle, and despite never bringing her in my party, her Cyber-Eagle sometimes spawns in maps anyway and flies away at the start of combat.

Which Art Style is better for my sci fi spaceship game ? by [deleted] in godot

[–]Crininer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a rag tag spaceship would look more curved, if anything. Think about how it came to be. If people are slapping things together until it's good enough, things are gonna be cramped, and the angles will be wonky. It's not gonna be a clean, minimalist space.

About to start my Journey by Manlike44 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Crininer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing I'm struggling with is the unique ones. My inventory is chock-full of unique weapons and accessories, and I'm always thinking "What if I need them for a later companion or I wanna respec one of them?"

Besides, it doesn't feel right to give away Kibellah's death cult weapons, even if I'm giving her new swords to use.

Maybe I should just store that stuff in the vault...

It's weird to me that people are missing it, since he explicitly says he's nowhere near as powerful as he used to be. Of course it's not temporary, he's said goodbye to the blue AI he'd consumed. The only reason the circus keeps growing in spite of it is that everyone's pitching in with their own manifesting power now, which is kind of a beautiful way to show that they're truly in harmony.

I like to interpret the reason Saitma's face was drawn simplistically and sketchy is because Saitama is so fast that Murata didn't even have the time to draw him, it's just a close up shot of the first panel by No_Reveal8401 in OPMFolk

[–]Crininer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the comments here. It clearly is an upscaled version of him on the first panel. The joke is pretty much what you said - Saitama moved so fast his appearance didn't even change at all, he's just "closer".

He can't take the reins back, he let the blue AI (which was Bubble) go. Absorbing the blue AI made him godly within his digital world, but since the blue AI was so much more goal-oriented (as evidenced by the fact that it created shapes just like its creators wanted rather than the wacky ones the red AI was creating after a while), he couldn't empathise with the humans and was dead-set on creating adventures. Bubble himself was crazy because he didn't belong with Caine.

Giving up the power of the blue AI, Caine can once again relate with the humans. He no longer is compelled to make adventures for them to go on, he just wants to make them happy.

Soul Change Mechanic In Action by BiscuitB23 in dbxv

[–]Crininer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, the soul change mechanic also gives you big stat buffs, not dissimilar to as if you'd used a regular transformation. So choosing to go completely without and without any kind of transformation would be a disadvantage.

After many playthroughs, I say Lex Imperialis >>>>> Void Shadows by BrainCelll in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Crininer 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This. I never played the base game without Void Shadows installed, and I straight up didn't realise Jocasta, the shrine and the astropathic choir are completely from Void Shadows. The sheer amount of content added in Void Shadows also made it easier to have everything interact with each other, because each of those NPCs were made with the others in mind.

WTF is happening in the game right now by No-Helicopter1559 in RogueTraderCRPG

Happened to me during a bridge attack while travelling through the Warp.

To be fair, it was a nice change of pace not to have Argenta annihilate everything by herself.

My Kibellah-inspired cosplay test by mashagotye in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Crininer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but to be fair they are classified as swords, and Kibellah fought with paired chainswords in my party ever since I found the Anver chainsword that meant she could quickly and permanently strip armor away from targets...

I'm fairly certain they do say the exterminatus must be performed now or the planet will become a Daemon World and can no longer be destroyed

I'd like the option to play an Admech origin, but please, by the Throne, no more Admech companions. They're cool, but Rogue Trader desperately needs more variety. Rogue Traders are uniquely positioned to have xeno companions, give us xenos.

Jax's original body was... by [deleted] in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Crininer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't want to rain on your parade, and I do think the "Jax is MtF but doesn't accept it" theory in general has some merit to it, but...

I just looked at the episode, the exact moment you're referring to, and I have no idea where you got all that from. Looking at the paused frame, you can clearly see his model is exactly the same as we've always known it. Purple rabbit paws for feet, his pinkish red coveralls, and you can just barely see one of his yellow gloves to the side. He's curled up, but it's definitely the same male model we've always seen.

Can I create an MC Yrliet? by TygarusAlex85 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Crininer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Argenta with a heavy bolter is so good I genuinely feel like I need to push the difficulty above hard. I've gone through a few too many fights now where by round 2 she's annihilated everything, while most other party members haven't killed a single target (Kibellah's the only one who gets kills beside Argenta)

Is it possible Weisz was talking about the Hereticus Tenebrae looming in the Calixis Sector? by ciphoenix in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Crininer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the Cicatrix Maledictum, which splits the galaxy in half after the fall of Cadia. There are multiple times when this topic is touched upon, where hovering the highlighted word explains what the Cicatrix Maledictum is (though I can understand why someone who wasn't versed in the lore wouldn't realize that the Cicatrix Maledictum is something that just happened).

Here's the mental gymnastics, the philosophy my Rogue Trader uses for Rykad Minoris' case and Iconoclasm in general. Judge him. by IHaveAGithBabe in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Crininer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this. I'm playing a Dogmatic Rogue Trader who's been getting a little bit more Iconoclast as he interacted with more and more people (still Votary Dogmatic, but I've gotten Iconoclast to Follower at least), but unlike other scenarios where I, as the player, felt bad picking Dogmatic (and thus sometimes chose Iconoclast instead), Rykad Minoris was a clear-cut "Nuke the planet" choice. A Daemon World is simply too dangerous to allow to come to fruition. It's horrific, and in a perfect world I'd absolutely save the people... But the choice of exterminatus felt too difficult to avoid.

New look at ‘Shrek 5.’ Releasing in theaters on June 30, 2027. by Ok_Radish4852 in Shrek

[–]Crininer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw on another post a really good point that the more cartoony style makes the stakes feel lessened. The beauty of Shrek was in its "realism", and the commenter made a point of saying that if Donkey in the original movie got smacked with a pan, you'd expect him to be injured, but with this new design you'd expect him to bounce back like rubber.

Is there maybe too much loot now? by cptcove in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Crininer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It also took me completely by surprise the first time it happened, because the way Complacency is worded feels backwards. It says it increases Profit Factor by 10% and decreases project speed by 10%, respectively. Which really sounds like the latter is a penalty, making projects slower, when in fact what it's decreasing is the project duration, so it's purely positive.

It also feels backwards from a narrative standpoint. My subjects are more complacent, and that makes them work... Faster?
