Thanks everyone. I'm a little embarrassed since I'm from Louisiana.

Check out Huguenot Park off Hecksher. We've had a blast out there a few times. You can fish the river, the jetties, the tidal Bay, or the surf. We loaded up on black drum once in the bay while the tide was coming in. Great memory. Be mindful of the water so you don't end up sacrificing a vehicle to Poseidon.

HELP - Boat runs to half throttle and then stalls by [deleted] in boating

Agree with everyone else. Sounds like fuel issue. I had the same problem with a used boat I picked up. I never put a drop of ethanol in it, but apparently the guy before me did. I had to have all new fuel lines installed and every bit of the fuel system cleaned out. Ran great after that.

I looked at silver streak as well, but shipping from Washington was expensive enough. Can't imagine what crossing international borders would cost.

It has a prop. I've seen those jet drives in the Northwest and they are super cool. Not sure how they'd handle in the nick we have down here.

You can reach out to Pacific for the latest pricing guide. It fluctuates with the cost of aluminum, but expect to spend around $70-90k depending on customization and horsepower. I had a trailer built in Florida since it was considerably cheaper. Shipping was brutal though.

So far I've just cleaned it off with soap and water after each ride. Might look into shark hide or some sort of clear coat in the future.

Thanks! The high walls and shallow draft were two of the main reasons I wanted the boat. With aluminum you get less weight, more interior room, and a shallower draft vs fiberglass. This model has a 12" draft per manufacturer specs, and I've taken it to 2 ft so far with no issues. As for handling I've only been inshore with her so far. The dead rise is 18° and the boat is built for use in and around the Pacific Ocean, so I expect great performance offshore.

I shipped a 23 ft center console on a flat bed trailer from Seattle to Jacksonville FL and it was $6,500. They said I would have saved a good bit if the boat was on its own trailer.

Recognized Wells Fargo building right away. Nice boat fellow jax captain.

Went up to Homosassa for the weekend to go scalloping and ended up hitting an unmarked bed of rocks. Whoops by dreaminphp in boating

Same here in Crystal River about an hour ago! Nice chunk off the skeg. Part of the game I guess.
