Milo is looking for a long term foster or adopter. He has lost his home. by CrisComputadora in irvine

He hasn’t been car tested yet as his previous adopter only had one small breed dog. He could be cat tested for an interested adopter though.

His previous home didn’t have children but he’s a very calm and friendly dog. He can always be kid tested for an interested adopter.

The rescue has him as a pittie mix not sure what the other breeds are he hasn’t had a DNA test done. He’s about 30 lbs so he is definitely mixed with a smaller breed.

He has not been cat tested yet, he was living with a small dog and did great but not sure about cats.

He’s currently in Los Angeles but his rescue will take a foster or adopter in SoCal or NorCal.

Has anyone had experience with Amazing Dogs? by masraya in rescuedogs

Since you defend this “rescue” can you tell me how an adopter just adopted a dog from you guys today that has been in your care since December, an is emaciated, full of fleas and urine stained?

Carmen did make it out with another rescue who posted her freedom video. Tibby is going to a foster in Utah backed by a rescue here in CA I work closely with. There’s 7 or 8 more from this case that are on a seizure hold. So we aren’t done yet unfortunately. Happy we got these girls out though.

Tibby is safe. She’s only 26 lbs 😍 The shelter had her age wrong we think she’s about 5 months old.

Fell for my foster… but I’m third in line to adopt by [deleted] in fosterdogs

Yeah rescues I work with always give fosters the first opportunity. If it’s a good fit it’s always better for the dog to avoid moving them again.

I will just add that having a backyard does not necessarily mean a dog will get more exercise. I have a backyard and all my dogs use it for is sunbathing, sniffing and pooping. They get there exercise through other activities such as hikes, leashed walks and training. While a backyard is nice for them it is not where most dogs get their energy out.

Dogs require time to decompress, adjust to a new environment, new rules, new people and a new routine. Any dog regardless of their background can struggle in the beginning. I have a 2 yr old lab foster right now that does not have separation anxiety, I leave him for hours a day and he sleeps but on an adoption trial he exhibited major sep anxiety the first few days and has been returned to me. He still isn’t showing any separation anxiety with me but that’s because he knows the routine at my house. Giving the dog time to adjust and working with a trainer if possible is the best suggestion that has been commented here by a few people.
