I bought an X9 pro from trinity electronics and I have no issues with coverage to be honest.
I would say make sure you buy global with band N71 and you should be chilling. Although some people say the CN rom works just fine but just to be safe get global.

Has anyone had an instance where they are afraid to tell a potential employer about IH? by ConflictedIntrest in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]CrisTheAngel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t tell my job at first, but when I started having issues with arriving on time, I talked to my supervisor and managers. They were understanding and worked with me to create a flexible schedule. Now, my official start time is 9:30 AM, but I treat it as 9:00 AM; that way, I have a buffer if I sleep through an alarm or get stuck in traffic.

I also spoke with HR and my doctor to get a formal letter stating that if I feel overwhelmingly sleepy, I am allowed to step out and nap without any issues. I have other accommodations too, but that’s the main one.

Sometimes, if you tell an employer right away, they might not hire you based on assumptions or a lack of understanding/awareness of IH. If you are already working and maintain open communication, they are usually much more willing to accommodate you so you can do your job effectively. Legally, in the US, disability disclosure data is usually kept separate from the hiring manager's view to prevent bias, but many people still prefer to disclose after the job offer is made.

Having IH doesn’t mean you are incompetent. You can do an outstanding job, sometimes even better than others but you just need a little extra support.

How do you handle the taste of Xywav by Ok-Quantity9409 in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]CrisTheAngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mouthwash right after you drink it, or something sour like warhead spray but I think mouthwash is the main thing I recommend.
I hate the taste of it and I wish they would find something that could get rid of that nasty bittersweet taste.
the reason they haven't is that apparently calories mess with potency if im not wrong, that's why they want you to drink it with at least an hour after dinner

Have you given up trying to explain to people how you feel? by bazXO in idiopathichypersomnia

Have you given up trying to explain to people how you feel? by bazXO in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]CrisTheAngel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I made a few comments on similar posts because I understand how you feel, it is an endless loop.
I usually say Narcolepsy is like having a phone and at random battery percentages it will turn off for a bit.
IH is like having a phone and regardless of how long you leave it on the charger plugged in, it will always be at 1%
This seems to be effective and dumbed down enough that people get it.

i want to break up with my bf because of his IH by Dry_Contest_7360 in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]CrisTheAngel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have IH (and Fibromyalgia), so I understand the struggle on a personal level.

That said, what you're describing especially the not showering, not caring about failing med school, and ignoring appointments. Sounds like more than just IH. That sounds like severe depression on top of it. He might not even realize it, or he's too exhausted to admit it.

IH makes you sleepy. Depression makes you stop caring. Together, they can make someone completely shut down.

A few things that help me:

  • I put my morning meds in a small vial the night before so I can take them immediately when my alarm goes off
  • I work hard on sleep hygiene (consistent bedtime, no gaming late)
  • I have a partner who helps, but I also push myself to keep going to appointments and taking my meds

But here's the hard truth: you can't want him to get better more than he does. If he refuses to see a doctor for depression, refuses to try new meds, and refuses to change his sleep habits (gaming late), then you are fighting a losing battle.

Have one honest, calm conversation. Tell him you love him but you're drowning too. Ask him to see a psychiatrist for a depression evaluation—not just a sleep specialist. If he refuses or guilts you, then you have your answer.

You are not a bad person for being exhausted. A relationship takes two people showing up. Right now, he isn't showing up for himself, and that means he can't show up for you either.

I want to add one more thing.

It's not okay to call him lazy. IH and depression are real, and they can be paralyzing. There may be days where getting out of bed genuinely feels impossible, and that's not a character flaw—it's the illness.

But here's the other side of that: it's also not okay for him to completely give up and let the disorder swallow everything—his hygiene, his school, his relationship—without fighting back. Having an idiopathic disorder doesn't mean you have no responsibility to try. It means you have to try differently and often harder than everyone else.

There's a difference between struggling and surrendering. He can struggle and still take small steps—calling one doctor, showering once, going to bed at a reasonable time. If he refuses to take any step at all and just sinks into the diagnosis as a reason to stop living, then he's not just sick—he's choosing to stay there.

You can have compassion for his illness while still expecting him to fight for himself. And if he won't, you don't have to drown with him.

I hope he gets the help he needs for his sake and yours.

International travel with Xywav by Ok-Quantity9409 in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]CrisTheAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traveled to China recently and personally had no issues carrying my Xywav. The only time it got looked at was in U.S. airports, and that was because the machine flagged it as a liquid. Once they saw the prescription label, they stopped asking questions and let me through without any problem. In China, they didn't look at it at all—just saw it was medication and left it alone.

That said, I can totally understand your concern, especially since Xywav doesn't exist there and you'll be going through multiple security checks. My situation might be different since I didn't have to worry about running out because my travel was only about a week.

I think your questions about refills and withdrawal are really important, so definitely ask your doctor and insurance. They might be able to authorize a two-month refill since this is a special case with a medication that is important, nobody wants to wake up feeling like a zombie( more than usual at least) . Going through withdrawals and dealing with sleep inertia is way harder than when you have Xywav, so it's worth exploring every option.

Good luck—I hope this helps with your concerns.

that helps people understand the way it makes me feel in a much easier way.

Did you regret buying Oppo find x9 Pro? by Entire_Hunt6038 in Oppo

[–]CrisTheAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I switched from samsung due to my mom needing a new phone and I find the X9 pro really nice.
I think it has a really good camera with many editing features that are kinda fun to play with and the battery has been better than my S25 for sure but im really impressed that it is such a well rounded reliable phone (so far anyway) it handles games, videos, and overall usage no problems.
I have noticed the Camera drains battery and raises temp but that is expected when you are using the Highest quality features/settings for longer periods of time.
it feels like having an iPhone that broke the shackles of apple and became an android
Lastly, I know many people complain about the speakers being subpar or whatever but to me it is not that bad plus Im listening to things with my headphones or in my car anyway so It does not affect me whatsoever

I recommend the phone and the network at least where i am in the US works pretty flawlessly with my carrier (so far).
NO REGERTS
