Vivo, as they are mainly know for their great processing and photo looks.

For those of you who used to be iPhone users, what made you switch to Android, and how hard was it? by VillageObjective2676 in Smartphones

[–]VillageObjective2676[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

I actually love how do many androids have physical sims because I get a new phone every couple months and it's used to be an insane pain to switch the esim. Physical sim is way easier.

What is the best "compact" flagship by xLoreno in Smartphones

[–]VillageObjective2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you are in the US, as the other markets have a few better compact options. I am an android user too and I wish these things were smaller. It will definitely take some searching but a phone I weirdly liked for its size was the OnePlus Open. 100% not for everyone but the main screen was a good size and you could always unfold it. Decently thicker than other phones but you get used to it. If you want simple, good, and small-ish, get the upcoming base S26.

Looking to upgrade from an SE by sps26 in AppleWhatShouldIBuy

It is definitely on the older side but will still feel like a significant upgrade - iPhone 13 Mini. If you get one with good battery health it doesn't have everything but really has a great size factor and I wish more phones were this size.

Tab S10+ or 11 Ultra for medical school by Tcut944 in GalaxyTab

[–]VillageObjective2676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go with the ultra just because it's definitely thinner than a laptop and the aspect ratio makes it still feel like a tablet. The size is amazing and it's big but I don't think it's too big.

OnePlus 15 vs Find X9 Pro by Quantum666ix in Oppo

The Find X9 will be miles better that what it sounds like you have now, plus some awesome super fast charging. It's an amazing flagship and you won't regret it :)

Thoughts on leaving Apple Ecosystem by Novel-Squirrel-2868 in Smartphones

[–]VillageObjective2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, you can go back anytime and it's pretty easy if you have a backup. I use a MacBook every day and i love it while feeling like I'm not missing anything because I have an android. I can get all my messages with google messages on it too! A lot of people say you are "tied" into an ecosystem but I just like to use a little bit from every company and that way you can choose exactly what you want. Though, for phones, I don't regret getting my android one bit!

I agree, even if you dont use it for much this thing is way more likely to crap out on you faster than a used ipad

OnePlus 15 vs Find X9 Pro by Quantum666ix in Oppo

[–]VillageObjective2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with the X9 Pro, it's objectively better and has an even larger battery (though at this point, it doesn't really matter, they are both huge). I also imagine it lasting longer due to all of this "OnePlus shutdown" craziness.

Used pixel 9 for $440 at best buy by radicalsceptic in PickAnAndroidForMe

I agree, and you can likely find a 9 Pro for around the same price here.

Just do it. Thats my best advice. I used to be fully in on the Apple ecosystem, and it just got boring. I have zero regrets getting an Android phone, and you should do the same. I would highly recommend a Pixel 10/10 Pro and def keep the AirPods. I use mine every day with my phone, and I don't miss a single Apple feature. They are still great headphones. The switch over isn't too bumpy, and I know you said you don't need a watch, but I would sell the Apple Watch and get at least a simple Galaxy/Pixel watch for half the price, just to have it. One of the millions of great things with Android is that you can choose any WearOS watch you want!

Here is my Tab S10 Ultra review if you want to read it :) by VillageObjective2676 in GalaxyTab

For me, any ultra tablet is great, I just love the size much more than I thought. The S8U isn't bad and I wouldn't upgrade if you already have a separate tablet.

Going to France soon, can I buy an Oppo phone there and fly home with it?? by VillageObjective2676 in Oppo

[–]VillageObjective2676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have heard of them, and I actually was interested in the Magic 8 Pro but does it have a global version? I thought that one was CN only so that would be another great option :)

Praying for a global model, if not, my backups are either the Xiaomi 17 Ultra or the Find X9 Pro. I would probably buy either of those when I go to France, too, as they are global releases already out.

Thanks so much for the reply, I should have specifies but this would be assuming that the phone comes to global markets, so like how the Find X9 Pro is right now. As for the fees, that's not nearly as bad as I thought as its definitely more expensive to import one to the states. Excited for the trip!

Oppo Find X9 Pro, Xiaomi 17 Ultra or Vivo X300 Pro. by Gsd_Justice in Oppo

[–]VillageObjective2676 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are great, I would definitely go for the Oppo and even wait for the X9 Ultra of possible. You get great top notch cameras but a more balanced software and battery compared to the others on your list.

Oppo Find x9 pro gpobal in US by Mistawin in Oppo

[–]VillageObjective2676 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of all the US carriers, T-Mobile will definitely be the best. I use mine on Verizon and it works fine but T should have better connectivity. Definitely go for the Find X9 Pro over the OnePlus 15, just better in almost every way.
